Default ET Street Radials work! 10.31@130.8mph!

Well the new ET Street Radials are a real good set of tires. I went out last nite with my brand new 325/50/15's. I only got to make 2-n2o passes before they told me to slow down or leave. My car doesn't have a rollbar so the first pass I left easy then sprayed the n2o once the car was about 20-30' out (1.55 60') and ran 10.42@130.5mph on 150HP NX. Then I pulled up and left on motor then sprayed about 10' out in the 60' and ran a 1.52 60 (the driver tire was at least 8inches off the ground) and ran 10.31@130.8mph which is the quickest I have run on 150HP n2o. I wanted to step up the n2o to 175 or 200HP but didn't want to get run off and not be able to go back. They are pretty cool but once the track officials have enough it's time to slow down until next time. I had to do a little beating of my inner fenders, run a small 5/16" spacer and adjust my LCA's to make them work but I love the looks and they hook. I will have some pics during the week. All this on straight pump gas and full street trim. Can't wait to get back out with the 200HP jets and a little race fuel in the tank to see if the ole LT1 will run 9's on radials.

Thanks guys. The car has your normal weight reduction but still weighs 3520#'s with me in it and a 1/4 tank of fuel. Not the lightest car by any means. I plan on putting a 6 or 8 point bar in the car soon so I can run w/o getting run out the tracks. There is a local track that is not to strict that I plan on hitting early next month to see if the car will get down in the 10.00's to 9.90 range with 200+HP n2o. I have 2 stages on the car but have only sprayed the first kit so far at the track. Later Clint

That's sweet!!!! I have been wondering if I would be able to hook with those same tires with the summer air knocking the power down a bit. The Drag slicks are iffy at times , but that stiffer side wall may be the ticket. Thanks for the report.

Thanks guys these were just shakedown passes with the new tires. I didn't expect them to hook as good as they did. Next time out I should really get down there with the ole LT1. It's really nothing speacial just a good little combo that is getiing sorted out. Late Clint

Sorry no dyno#'s b/c it hasn't been on the dyno in 2yrs. when it did 425rwhp with a 125shot. I ran the car with 19 and 20#'s b/c it was first time out. I will be stepping it up and lowering the pressure down to around 16psi next time out. later Clint
