Default Dropped .6 tenths in the 1/8

With just a Yank SS 4000 I dropped a little over .6 tenths. All the car has is 3.73's and M/T ET streets. Before the converter the car ran 8.35 @ 85.xx mph (1/8). After the converter it dropped to 7.706 @ 87.xx mph. My 60ft went from 1.93 to 1.600 with the driver side tire in the air. Thats a big difference for just a converter.

Yeah I don't doubt that at all. A Yank stall converter is the best mod for an A4 hands down. It has to feel like a whole new machine now. Congrats.

No kidding! Its the best investment I think I will ever make on that car. 1.600 60ft times feel pretty good too. In all honosty I was expecting it to drop about .3 tenths in the 1/8, but .65 tenths?? Thats just crazy. Now to the 1/4mile....results coming soon.

I bet that converter is very streetable too. There's no better feeling like those low 60ft G-forces

damn nice 7.70s with 87mph the numbers dont match but congrats.
Im not trying to doubt you just think your mph is kinda low to be running 7.70s with just a stall.

The mph is low b/c theres nothing done to the motor. All it has is the ET streets, converter, lid & cat-back exh. The only reason it had such a low ET was b/c it cut such a low 60ft.

In case no one noticed, the MPH isn't low for having a stock motor and an auto tranny. Great run in both the ET and MPH IMO. I'm really looking forward to seeing how your car finishes out the last 660' when you take it to a 1/4 mile track. I'm running .1 behind you and .5 MPH behind you at the 1/8th mile with the same (no) mods so I'm really interested in how you run in a 1/4 mile. Keep up the good work and good luck at the 1/4 mile track. I'll bet you scare an 11 to death.

Some times i wish i had an auto in my car, lol. A buddie of mine put a 3800 stall in his car and went from a best of 9.10 to an 8.30. I was shocked to say the least. Now with a lid, headers, stall, beefed up tranny w/ shift kit, 3.42 gears, and nittos it has run a best of 7.81. This is through the stock cat back. And the sad thing is on the street my car would put two plus cars on him. ( when it was a bolt on car) But the track is a different world.
