Finally got our Super 7 race in
I went out third round of the Super 7 race. The damn car just kept getting faster and if we were racing the full track it would have went 12's today. First round had a .055 light, it went 1.991 60', 8.490 @ 84.8 never lifted. Next round put 8.50 on the window and .001 light 1.95 60', and 8.508 @ 79.6 on 3/4 throttle past the 550' and some brakes. So I was thinking the 60' was a fluke, guess not. The last run was a .039 light, 1.94 60', 8.420 @ 83 on the brakes with a 8.48 dial. Still won $250. Now I have to start getting ready for next year. All in all I did pretty good for my first season.

Congrats on the 3rd round and winning $250.00. I find it, always makes FEAR a little happier when I bring money home. I have found that these LS1's speed way up as the race goes on. If your going to bracket race, you really need to get a ET/weather station.
Congrats on your 1st season and good luck next year.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to a good convertor, and a few other goodies for racing next season. I don't want to be the slowest in the class. And I got the little flyer asking if we wanted more 1/8th mile races.... I checked ....NO, If I had been running a 1/4 mile race the other day I'd have my first 12 second slip.

Congrats Nate!!
That's some great racing!
What Coach said about the weather station. Et prediction can be a huge help with these cars...Let 'em get a win and they just want to run that much faster
I bet ya can't wait for next season now?
Good luck & Good racing,
Maggie

Seriously though, they have a few trucks and such that are in the 13s or slower, but the majority of the regulars run in the 11's or 10's. I still get chased a good amount, but having a clean 'tree is a good thing to launch off.

Pro ET was a $40 entry, with a $400 win payment, but if you beat the Super Pro winner in the run-off every night, that $400 become a grand
I won it once this year and split the other time, so ended up nicely helping out the "future upgrades to the Nova" fund....
FWIW,
Street legal is drive it in the gate on dots and mufflers, $15 entry, winner and r/u get a trophy.
Fast Trophy is anything goes without electronics, same entry and trophy deal.

Nate,
I'm not that hard to beat, just talk a lot of bs and I'm all done..
Now the other guys that run footbrake, they may welcome you differently
In all seriousness, I think you'll do fine. If you need help along the way, just let me know....
