Just a random question. So what track, series, events you all run
IHRA NHRA an what car?!?

Myself
I race the Ihra Summit Super Series at Great Lakes Dragaway in Division 5
and any other bracket event I'm able to run there.
Also hit some other events in the midwest if scheduale permits
this is with the TA

With my grand am I race a local import series and the Pontiac Nationals at Norwalk and Cordova again if I can make it.

Looking to rum IHRA Mr. Gasket Pro Am series Division 5 for 06

We do a little bracket racin from time to time.

We also raced the IHRA Summit Super Series at Lone star Raceway Park in Division 4(finished 3rd). We raced the 2005 IHRA National event at San Antonio Raceway(went 4 rounds). We hit pretty much every big dollar bracket race around South Texas(won 4 races).

We are also toying with the idea to run Hot Rod in the IHRA Mr. Gasket Pro Am series Division 4 for 06.

Jen has run the Summit Series here in NHRA Division 7. In 2004 she went to the division finals, now for 2006 she will be running all of the divisional races for Super Gas, as well as the final three POWERade national events.

I raced in the 2005 IHRA Summit Super Series. I didn't do real well as my car broke mid season. I dropped out and tore the car down for a complete overhaul.

I was cutting KILLER lights but my car wouldn't cooperate and I kept running off my dial in. Then my car broke completley

I'm fixing all the troubles this winter and I hope to do better in 2006. Maybe a little faster too

A form of drag racing that involves keeping your wheels on the car all the way down the track!

I run Class II brackets (footbrake class) at a local NHRA track. Was doing pretty good till I wore some rod bearings out halfway through the season. Didn't get my 408 done in time to run any more brackets.

A lot of guys around here sling crap about bracket racing not being "real" drag racing - but I always found it much more enjoyable than trying to keep up with heads up racing costs! Glad to see there are others out there!

I used to do a lot of bracket racing at M.A.R. Wentzville MO.
and a little at G.I.R ST.Louis Mo. Well M.A.R. closed down
and I lost my job in this factory that also closed. I finally found a job with
just mon and tue night off so I didn't race in 2005 at all. Recently I
have had a schedule change with thur and fri nights off so i plan
on doing some fri night bracket racing at G.I.R. this season.

My dad runs Hot Rod in our 1970 Camaro... I do all the throttle stop setup on it and we run division 3 IHRA points meets and some of the close NHRA ones.

We've only run the full schedule one year and finished 6th after being 2nd or 3rd every race until the final one which made me bitter but it's fun no doubt. We're actually pretty decent at it with some wins, runner-ups and a lot of semi's. Almost won two races on two consecutive days if not for a case of driver error on the second day.

On the stop it runs 7.00 at 109 and 10.90 at 135ish.

When we're bracket racing it's usually 6.15ish at 111.

I love bracket racing and throttle stop racing with a passion. Hopefully this time next year I will get the Camaro off of him and he'll buy a full chassis car and put the 548 in it and I'll build a 498... In a perfect world that will happen.

Thanks Coach! Brackets were done here the week before I got the 408 together. I only got to go to Test-and-Tune.

I had gone 10's with my old motor on the bottle, but it is cool doing it now on the motor. I was really trying for the 9 second club!! I wanted that one bad. It'll go - I just ran out of season before I could get the shocks and nitrous controller dialed in. I was trying to go 9's on DOTs and through the mufflers - takes some work to fine tune it all.

I do a little bracket racing from time to time as well......

Been bracket racing since 1992. Have done well over my years, including 2 divisional championships, 2 track championships, 1 national championship R/U, and 5 wallys total.

I race the Nova mostly, but the truck got raced a few times this past year, and the Formula had her moment in the spotlight back in 2003 when the Nova decided to toss a rod out of the block

Good to see more bracket racers here!

Do most of you run bottom bulb footbrake or transbrake or are any of you top bulb/pro-tree with delay guys?

Villain... I guess you get to run pretty much all year round? I despise you for your geographical position!

I run Super Pro (Box Class) at IRP in Indianapolis. I tied for second this year but wound up third on the tie-breaker. I also try and travel to some of the other tracks when time allows.

I look to do better when I stop running a stock suspension 10.5" tire car against dragsters and full tube cars .
