100 Dollar Race thoughts ?

100 Dollar Race thoughts ? So me and my friend signed and shook on a $100 dollar race tonight. He has an LS1 Style GTO 6 spd. As far as i know he has Long tubes,chambered dual exhaust, and the free mods. His stipulation is to race me with a light drag radial (nitto).
Vs.
My ls1 z28 m6 with mods listed below. No tune after the new cam yet still...And on street tires.
I'm unsure what his best ET was with street tires but i beleive it was 13.8 @ 104mph, he might have gone a little quicker but i didn't hear of it. now obviousely hes going to get some practice in with the DR's before he races me.
My Best ET on street tires was 13.1 @ 108 but i had blown up the 10 bolt. Havent driven it since. (Winter) My only stipulation is putting a new set of gears in.
This race will occur on the street. What are your thoughts?

He stands a good chance against you, seeing as to how you are running on street tires. He could possibly run a 12 sec. pass if he heats up his DR's enough. It's gonna be a driver's race IMO. Eventhough your car has more power, it has no grip. Good luck though.
I think you have a good chance the 2004 GTOs (LS1) are not that quick with just headers and boltons and they are harder to launch then an Fbody cause of the IRS rear. His GTO weighs about 400lbs more then an Fbody too, good luck.
