98 Camaro Z28 M6 v. 06 Nissan 350Z Who is going to win?!
First late night drags up here in rainy Oregon at PIR, are on the 29th of March. My roommate being the showoff he is, has to take me on in his 06 350Z, all stock 6 speed except for the Nismo catback exhaust. Tired of him being a nowitall *****, I'm taking him on in my almost bone stock 98Z i picked up 2 months ago with 23,XXX miles on the clock. 6-speed (B&M Ripper any thoughts on how to adjust this thing for optimum efficiency would be great), 3.42 gears i'm assuming, runs flawless, has just a K&N and Flowmaster catback. I know this guy can run good, always consistent in his old Sube, he's "hoping" for a 13.7 and I'm assuming he'll hit it. If I get off with a decent street tire 2.1 sec 60', and dont pull a dumbass shift, who is going to win this thing? Honestly.

I cant see him running better than a 14.2. I you can drive worth a damn, you should smoke him. My ws6 ran 13.3s bone stock. As do most f-bodies. Your car should have a good 13.5 in it. Go beat his ***!

You should beat him but it can depend on whos driving better. Most stock Z's hit 13.8-14.0 so I would think you have him. Very few with really good drivers have hit 13.6's stock. It should be closer than most of you think but he'll probably be right on your ***. Good luck man

GAH! GAYASS Oregon rain, ruined a good opening night... maybe tomorrow, we'll see, my friend backed out initially because of a precious Winterhawks game to go to...
Anyway, it's late and I forgot who wrote it but don't run at PIR if you don't have to, people get into the fun more at Woodburn but since all of us cheap, lazy college kids don't want to drive that far, we're stuck with watching Taco Bell Mexi-nugget Hondas zip down the track in Portland.

Author, the race won't be close. The one's i've raced didn't do all that well.

well my 60' sucks but stock the best i could get out of my SS was hi 13's low 14's in south louisiana heat and humidity but i have run a few 300 z's on the street and from a rool or from a dig they can't come close. so you should not have a problem even if the other guy is an experienced racer.

You will smoke him even with a 2.1 60. With 2.2-2.3 60 i was runin 13.5-13.7 with a catback and k&n. just dont get nervous and show him what america muscle is about.
