Default 1st time at the track in the snake with tires

Finally got a chance to run the snake at the local 8th. Warm humid evening, appr 83 deg. No track prep.

Best out of 3 runs... running 275/50r15 MT drag radials on telestars.

r/t .219 (asleep)
60' 1.800
330' 4.928
mph 72.92
1/8 7.524
mph 95.44

Slipped to clutch to load the rear about 3.5k rpm. I think with better traction and with my 4.10's installed I might be able to pull a low 7. Happy with the times though.

Wow, impressive times. Nice 60' btw, but I know the car has the power to do even better. I'm sure you'll love the 4.10 gearing. I know I do

yeah right i am not doing 4.10s they are only worth about 1 tenth over 3.23's and the way gas is going you got to be nuts to have 4.10s in an auto, maybe a stick i could see but not an auto...of course if it wasn't my dd i might think differently...plus i am on a stock 10 bolt...this is what my rear would do

thanks for the compliments

Thanks. Just trying not to beat the irs to bad on tires. Try to load the driveline then slip the clutch. 4.10's should be easier on the clutch I assume.

With a little more weight reduction I hopefully will run 7.0's.. Would love to run the magical 6's.

I drive a 6 speed, not an auto. With the automatics it's best to just alter the torque converter, as obviously gas prices are soaring.

Exxon is real happy though, they declared an $8.9 Billion Dollar profit this quarter.
