Default G-Tech

I ran my car the other night a couple of times on the G-Tech on a concrete highway that is level. I was launching a little soft and the first pass was a 13.1@108 a little harder out of the hole netted a 12.8@112 and the last pass spun just a hair and I got a 12.71@115. I still haven't heated up the tires and got nasty with it out of the hole but my question is with these trap speeds what kind of e.t. could I expect at the track if I could hook up out of the hole? My Mickey DR's are a little worn so I can't get too great of a launch on the street. Every time I have been to the track it rains otherwise I would know by now. Thanks for any info guys!!!

without the bottle you are in low 12s.

if you trap ~112, i would expect 12.20s. if you're trapping 115 i would expect high 11s. dependent on how much weight reduction you have done.

Ya, I'm not for sure how accurate these things are and this one is an older version, but it is accurate to my speedo. I don't have any weight reduction done, except for the spare tire & jack...but replaced with a bottle It is a full weight daily driver. I would like to get low 11s to high 10s in street trim (exactly how I drive it every day). But my tranny is not liking the 2-3 shift spraying right now, so I'm going to replace a few things in it this weekend after the shop closes up. Then I will run it on the g-tech spraying and see what it says. I was also going to ask if I am running low 12s-high 11s on the motor, how much will it drop the e.t. spraying the 150 shot? Thanks again guys!!!

trapping 115 on a gtech will act be a mph or two less at the track because the track calculates mph by how long it takes u to cross 60 or so feet not to sure

Are you spraying through your shifts? I dont know a whole lot about N2O, but I didn't think it was very good on a tranny to spray while shifting. I thought thats why alot of people use window switches.

The older version GTech's tend to show trap speeds about 2 mph more than the track does, assumming it gets a correct reading (level ground). I have one of the ones that looks like a radar detector, and it seems to be somewhat accurate for ET, but it is always generous in the trap speed by about 1 to 2 mph.

I have a window switch pilled at 6000 and the shift point is 6100, but those runs were on the motor. I don't think those times are too bad for the street, considering no burnout or vht down yet, so I would think that the car would probably be good for mid-low 12s on the motor. Has anybody tried one of the newer SS G-Tech's?!?!

Default Gtech

I just ran my Gtech at the track and compared it to their timing.

My first run gtech said 13.35 107mph and the track said 13.5 101mph

The second run Gtech 13.24 107mph at track timing 13.36 101mph

I did rum my Gtech with nitrous on the road 75 shot 12.59 115mph

My Gtech is only 6 months old not sure what model it is?

They say it's accurate to .1 and 1 mph but I found it to be reading .2 and 5 mph fast compared to the tracks timming.

This is in the UK but your MPH is measured in the last 60 ft.

The G-Tech is good for getting ET/Trap Speed in the ball park but far from being anything close to accurate.

Damn i sould be running pretty good then, the only thing I did thats not in my sig is a 160F, by the way my G-tech was right on with the track, since the track close to me is closed right now i have not got a chance to run with the any mods (I still need drage radials) g-tech says 111mph.

Is the underdive pully worth it? which one is a good one?

Nice, I never got mine to be that accurate, mine was always at least 2mph faster than the track.

Pully is good for a few hp. I did mine along with several other mods so I'm not sure how much I gained from it, but every little bit helps.
