I beat a Camaro with an LT4 conversion. By best time is in my sig may the WS6 RIP. I totaled it and bought a 2000 SS.

Well, not really.
In most casses.. you are right, but a Cam and Tune is about half a second on a track, give or take.

Considering that some of the later LS1 ran low 13's, IMO, it wouldnt be embarrasing at all.
But losing to an LT1 is nothing to be ashamed of.
LT1's can move.

i pulled a fender on a '96 LT4 vette 6spd w/only a catback and no passengers in my '02 C5 LS1 6spd w/a halltech intake and catback and a 130lb passenger. we ran from 60 to 140 and his nose was right there on my front tire. he said he was making around 315rwhp and i was making about 325rwhp at the time.

how did i miss this one......im going to have to call bs on this one for a couple quick reasons. first is dereks car is way faster than a 12.7. its a matter of driving the thing down the track. second my car was dead even (i mean like looking in a mirror even) w/ derek before i did the headers, intake, and tune. at that point my car ran 8.2@imm which is a 12.7 run. this was all prior to derek having the 50 shot. your car doesnt run anywhere close to that time. im not ******* u it just doesnt.

on another note your car needs a tune and thats that. u also need a gear or a stall or both. my lt1 w/ shortys, 3.73, mail order tune, msd, and a homemade cai ran 12.7@107 all day long. and who is this tommy everyone keeps referring too?

i mean i almost bought an LT1 i have nothing against them, they ARE fast...just not as fast as the LS1 in my humble opinion, new technology, and engineering, but LT1s can handle more abuse with their iron block, and sound alot better than LS1s becase of its iron block. Everyone needs to just respect one anothers rides, I am a fan of GM engines and always will be LT1, LS1, LS2, LS6, whatever all GREAT engines and whoop up on mustangs all the time, unless they have their stock eaton M112A from the factory(cobra).

Derek's car might be capable of >12.7, but it hasn't been done. Just like I can say my car is capable of whatever, it hasn't been done, and you, your 12.2s haven't been done.

When Derek and I ran, he wasn't using the spray. The only run where I had traction, we were very close. He never pulled on me like you would like to believe, for whatever reason. When you ran him he still had his street tires and no spray, which you with your setup ran 8.2, and he was running 8.6s in the 1/8th. And I think when he was off the spray at Bradenton he was running like 13.5s. (That's what Chris said.)

The other "Tommy" is the kid with the Tahoe and old 5.0 mustang. He hangs out with SteveIGuess a lot.

The stall will be bought on 06/02/06, tires and tune will be coming soon as well.

.
that is my point. the car is capable of it and ur car is not. thats why i said that. thus from a roll i find it hard to believe he didnt pull u. but i wasnt there. that stall and tune will wake ur car up drasticlly.

I'm hoping for mid 12s after the stall/tires/tune. If it runs better, great, if not, oh well. Then it'll be intake/cam/heads/tune $$$ time.

im gunna put the 3:73's in and see what it will do. cuz since i am dead even with derek on spray u would prolly beat me as well. so i would like to see what the gears will do for me.
