I like it... Trying to get the cousin to do the same thing over a 347,351 or 408... Whenever he decides what is going in his fox next that is....

Just never open the hood to show anyone I tell him

I was originally going turbo the car. But when I opened the newest mmff magazine and almost ever featured car was a turbo car I decided it was a waste of time. Spend $4k for a turbo kit said and done with tune. Build the bottom end for $2k and slap the h/c/i back on it. And thats $6k maybe more under the hood. All to have the stock block to split in half if I took it around a road course and flogged it for a 20 minute session. Now add into account another $2k for a dart block. And im up to $8000 maybe $10,000 for the nickle and dime stuff. Im in college I cant afford 10k to do it right. This swap was done right and runs faster then the old h/c/i combo did on a slick.

Im a ford guy all the way but there was no way I was going to be happy with a motor that had the aftermarket thrown at it, just to run slower than the stock motor i was able to put in it.

Plus by sticking with ford parts, and truly sticking with ford Factory parts. I was limited to an 03 cobra motor swap which has been done and will continue to be done. But that motor is still upwards of $6k with computer and trans. Not exactly cheap for ford parts. Although it would have bolted in fairly easy.

I dont exactly know why your ford buddies hate this swap. When I was at union grove running the car. Almost everyone at the track made a comment on what a nice car it was. Then after popping the hood. Assuming they didn't ask if it was a 3v first. Everyones mouth dropped and said it was badass.

Every time I take my car to the track people get pissed off, and want to know why I did it. All I can say is that I have less than $6000 dollars in the whole car, and it has gone high 10's and still gets 20mpg. I've had 6 Ford powered mustangs and have never had one that was anywhere near as fast as this one. For me it was just simple mathmatics.

Does anyone know what the fastest time has been for a LSX powered Mustang? We have a little coupe which we think may be the fastest one yet.

That is a sweet setup. I remember seeing pictures of that car when I was starting my build. Makes me want to switch to an auto and build a turbo kit this winter lol. My car seems slow compared to that.

My car is now for sale for any who are interested. My internet is down so I am posting from a friends computer. If you are interested call me at 1-630-546-3911. My name is Dan. I am starting school tomorrow and cant affort to keep the car. Hate to see it go but school is more important right now.

For those interested I have every recipt for every part on this car. As well as every ford part that was on the car that was sold. All documentation goes back to the first part bought for the car.

Do not pm me or anything because I will not be able to answer it. Call me to schedule a time to look at the car. I have no time for tire kickers.

Dan.
