yeah you can see it on the video, watch the wheel speed sensor it jacks up then levels off, easy to tell.

We have this 3600 lb car leaving HARD

It went 9.61 @ 138.9... 6 more mph it should ET in the 9.20s and 9.30s definitely spinning.

I'm sure someone else has asked it but are you going to put wheelie bars on it or take gear out of it so it'll stay on the ground next time?

Most people I've been around will go through one bad wheelie and they make sure their car stays on the ground the next time.

NO wheelie bars !

I dont want to do that again it costs to much..... I'm going to try travel limiters and we will set the 2nd stage to come on a little later.

Yes, I dont think they are ment to save it when it stands strait up and you let off. When it comes down like that nothing is going to save it

travel limiters may not stop that problem.. what tq arm is on the car? Going to a longer one might be a good idea if it's a shorty one.

Limiters will help tremendously. That will calm the car down.

As for the SYABs. They are designed to absorb some of the impact. I havent had (UNTIL NOW) a car over 3300lbs come down that hard on them.

Yeah what the hell are you talking about travel limiters wont help that problem? We saw it happen over and over again at the Thunder Shootout a couple years back.

Brian, give these guys some pacifiers Joe gave ATVRacr the bars from his car after his was ironed out, those are no longer in service! Do you do a SnapOn warranty type deal with them things?

3668 is what the exact weight with me in it.

Why we are trying to get a 3700 lb car to go bootom 9's is beyond me.

I thought the long TQ arms wheelied more that the short ones I have a Spohn.

Not what my shop tells me.... they prefer the longer ones because it doesn't make the car stand up like that. I asked the question as to which arm to put on the car, and was told a stock style adjustable. That, when coupled to a crossmember with the relocation, like the BMR one that they sell for th400 swaps, and stock t56 and a4 setups that has the mounting point moved onto the crossmember... it allows form some adjustment in the front up and down, and the pinion angle adjustablilty that's needed. They suggested either that, or a wolfe one, which is also very long in comparison to some of the ones out there.

I had a spohn on my car and took it off in fear the short arm was gonna cause the wheelstands like you are doing once I put the nitrous on..... granted I'm not running anywhere near the times you are yet.. but we'll see what happens with a 150 shot out of the hole next year, at least to start.

longer tq arms like madmans put the instant center more forward so the car just leaves with minimum front end lift, combine that with front end limiters and you should be good to go.

Madman's arm is a shorty style, I have it on my car, but the front mount height is adjustable to help with adjusting instant center, from my understanding the lower you go, the softer it will hit and longer it will keep 'em planted w/o unloading, and the higher you go the harder it will hit and will unload quicker. I have mine in the lowest hole, the t/a actually points down from rear to front, and I still yank 'em pretty high, I could only imagine if I was up one of two more holes, i'd be on the bumper every damn pass, haha!
