Default New best while destroying car

Good news: ran my best tonight on these mods, lid, long tubes, true duals, short shifter, stage 3 clutch, Nittos.

good weather, 52degrees 72% humidity.

Bad news:

I make this last pass, bogged the car out of the hole, hit every gear on the light and roll through the traps. I go to downshift and it’s stuck in forth so I try to bang it out real quick with no luck. Get my time slip and pull over to the side, start beating on it still nothing. At this point I’m pissed so I just start ripping on it and finally break it free. Go to test it out and feels good. So I turn to go back to the lanes and hear a clunk clunk from the rear and feel the car jerk. So I go fill my tires up and limp the car home a good 60+ miles.

So looks like its time for a 9inch and a call to t56rebuilds.

Thats a bummer, breaking stuff at the track always sucks. Good luck with the car in 2007 and no breakage.

so what's really done to the car... if it's full weight like you claim.. there's either a kit in the car, or a cam... SI/NA cars don't trap 117 at full weight.

That’s the thing; The mods that are listed are my only mods, that’s it. I have no clue where the car is getting this MPH. Everyone thinks I'm on spray...

I dunno... I mean I've seen a stockish car trap 114, and we thought it was amazing.. he put a cam in his car later and it made 420 rwhp with a relaitvly small cam, lift's only in the 550's, his car is a very strong car.

117, at full weight I just don't get. I knwo that the tracks in new england aren't the fastest in the country, not even close, but they aren't that slow.

For kev even making these times at moroso is really good. The car is an animal Id really like to see what he could do at BMP, Atco, or Englishtown.

Ehhh, did you buy that car used? Seems like you have a cam in there and don't know it with that trap speed.

Still great times, and sorry to hear about your rearend breaking. Have you dynoed that car yet?

Car was used, I knew the guy very well and my brother installed all the parts on it so I know for a fact there’s no internals done to it. You can defiantly tell it’s a stock cam in the car by how it sounds. Car was dynoed at 383hp / 406tq

Wow. Some cam only cars can't make that much. Car has to be a genetic freak of GM.

WTF, you're telling me true duals and long tubes gotcha that much power????!!!! A Z06 cam/Stealth Cam sounds like a stock cam. I dunno man, sounds like it has some internal work in there

Don't be surprised when you buy a Trex cam or something, and find a cam is already in there.

In any event, I wish my car trapped at 117mph N/A. Stupid smog laws of California.

i had an identical run with a 100 shot and otherwise stock full weight m6 ls1 on street tires.
2.0 60'
8.0x 1/8
91-92mph

i just cant see your full weight car doing that unless youve got a cam in it.

I'm willing to bet the car has a LS6 cam in it. Bolt on M6s, even freaks don't dyno/run that fast.
