Default Another new best for a TEA 1.5 H/C car!

I ran 10.90@ 123.02 with a 1.54 a couple a weeks ago with a 26" slick. I was hitting the rev limiter right after I crossed the traps. I wanted to spray the car and knew i was going to need a 28" tire to do it. Fast foward to today, Im thinking the 28" will slow me down N/A but guess not. Ran a new best of

1.53
6.92@99.25
10.87@124.31

I did manage a couple 1.48 60's but at slower e.t.s due to getting shift points lined out on new tire. These budget heads and small cam just keep gettin it done. For those wondering bout the spray a ran an NX 100 wet and got a

1.51
6.74@102.7
10.55@127.77

Either the Yank hates the dope or I got A/F issues going on here. Ill Autotap it soon to find out. JaSSon.

Nice runs N/A, but definately something up with the juice. You should be at least a couple tenths better, so it's either major tuning issues or it is blowing through the converter.

Good luck getting her to find the bottom tens!

Great numbers! Good information, I am considering going to a 28” tire as well. Did you have any fitment problems going with the 28” tire?

What was your race weight and weather conditions? DA?

Congrats Jason !! Good seeing you today and under the conditions we had today you car was flying.
JNorris it was cloudy and cold all day..The air temperature stayed in the high 40's all day and the DA anywhere from -1000 to -600..We needed a little sunshine to heat the track surface but that didn't happen today..

Tim your car wasnt moving like a slug either. We just needed a little surface temp on the track.

Im running a 5.75 backspacing on my track rims and only had to clear the edges of the fenderwell. The 28 looks killer and is worth the added traction. My weight is 3330 with me in it. If I could have managed one of those 1.48s or better on my only good run I could have gotten into the .70s. there is plenty good weather left and I have yet to got to HRP where traction is a awesome.

Thumbs up

Way to go Jason. Your car keeps getting quicker and picking up more mph. Once you get the nitrous sorted out its really going to fly. Its already impressive. Does your wife still drive it to work?

Sorry I couldn't make it out there but I broke a few teeth off of the 3rd gear cluster on Wednesday night so I'm down for a few weeks. I pulled the trans this weekend and will ship it out today or tomorrow.

Thanks Ben, I logged a couple runs Sunday on the spray and the A/F was good and it pulled hard. I think the bottle pressure was too low on Saturday at the track. It was so cold I couldnt get it heated to even 900 psi.

That makes sense. It was probably acting more like a 50 shot. Get the bottle pressure between 900 and 1050 and that thing may see some bottom 10s on the 100 shot. Being on the high side of 900 is preferable because the pressure will drop a little during the run. I'm sure you already know this.
