6700???? have you tried shifting at higher rpms? it SHOULD help. try shifting at 7-7200. a cam that big should probably shifted around there.

jugger had his G5x3 and i believe he shifted at 7100.

I also have the G5X4 and I also get best results shifting at 6700~6800. I think the dot to dot installation could have something to do with it. Mine made peak power a solid 300 rpm lower than several others with this cam and I'm guessing HumpinSS also made peak power a little lower too. Dot to dot is probably ok 99% of the time but what about that slight chance the dot was off a tooth or two?

BTW, nice time and congrats!

Wow man. That thing is pretty nasty. I'm in the market for some 205s and a cam. Maybe I should call LG tomorrow and talk with them about this cam.
The one I took out was a x3 clone. I sure would like to see what the real thing does. LOL.
And Chad tunes my car.... I'm sure you could get him right up to speed on the tuning. Hmm.

I don't know. It is a fairly big cam. We might have to take it to him to get every last HP and make her RUN...

Nice times. What was the DA? What do you launch at? I can't seam to break 1.60 60's and my car is very similar. 3600lbs, cam only, M6, 4.56s, 28" tires...I was shifting my car at 6700 then brought it up to 7k and went slower. I have a T-Rex, but the same principal here. These big cams don't seam to make power as high as you would think. Next season I am trying 6500. It peaks at 6300. I am switching to 4.11s and 26" tires though. The 4.56s are just too much. I drive with 26" tall tires on the street most of the time anyhow.

yea... you can't have aftermarket rocker arms if you're claiming "cam-only"

i also have not heard many good things about the EWP. atleast not for the money you spend.

I seen one dyno article that showed the EWP making 4hp. But 4 here and 5 there help get it up to the 450+ range.

How streetable is this cam? Does it make good low end power as well or is it all top end?I talked to Anthony @ LG today.

4 hp for $600

Like I said not worth it.

Put 400 more to that and buy some PRC heads

$1000 = 40 hp or $600 for 4 hp

Not bad. Do you plan on adding heads to it later?
