i also have not heard many good things about the EWP. atleast not for the money you spend.
Aren't you the one saying stronger rod bolts should be allowed for the stock bottom end list?

For what it's worth, last winter I added a Mezzier H2O pump and an unported FAST 90/90 combo and picked up 23 rwhp on the same dyno. I'm guessing the H2O pump had something to do with that. So $1700/23rwhp = $73.91/hp. Pretty expensive but headers are about $60/hp. If you're crunched for money then I guess it's not a very good mod.

More like $1100 for 90/90 = 20 hp and $600 EWP = 3 hp

Just not worth it IMHO until you have bought EVERYTHING else.

Congrats again Larry. Always nice to have somebody to motivate me to go faster

The MPH makes me a little jealous. Now we need some cages to legally race

I have a T-Rex, but the same principal here. These big cams don't seam to make power as high as you would think. Next season I am trying 6500. It peaks at 6300. I am switching to 4.11s and 26" tires though. The 4.56s are just too much. I drive with 26" tall tires on the street most of the time anyhow.
Dont change the rear, its perfect for what you are doing. 4.56s, little M/T 275 drag radials, and seen a couple 1.4x 60 fts cam only here, with a small cam. Leaves off the limiter if the tires dont shake and the track is there.

Yes, everyone Im racing should buy an EWP

Hmmm...I will take this to heart. How tall? The 60 or 50 series tires?

yea - rod bolts don't add power, and they're cheap insurance to keeping your rotating assembly together.

rocker arms will add power...
so i'd say that makes them an unfair advantage if one is claiming "cam-only" ... does that not make sense?

or do we need to make another poll, or maybe even another list altogether.

Well rods don't add power so would that be SI parts too? Come on...SI means factory parts internally. Meaning anything that touches oil is internal.

"any that touches oil" is for stock internal yes.

but we're talking about "cam-only."

there was never a "rule" against using aftermarket rod bolts for the cam-only guys.

to what matters in THIS thread is that the guy is claiming cam-only and saying he's getting rocker arms soon. i was just saying he couldn't still claim cam-only after adding rocker arms.

60 series. Ive only made 7 passes this year with it and havent driven a car in 2 or 3 years. Likely more left in it. With the right driveline setup you could do low 1.5xs for sure. Im sure you could see a trap speed in the same ballpark as with good front half of the track, decent air and everything sorted out.

What kind of power does the car put down? Mine only makes 410 thru the stock catback like I raced it, so Im sure yours is very capable of running very close if not at the 11.2-11.3 mark. HumpinSS car trapped 119 for the last year or two until he put it together on some good air and work on getting the car to leave, so you on the same pace

My car hauls the back half. I found out one of the main caps in my rear was loose. And my TA mount on the trans was loose too. So maybe after those are fixed it will do better out of the hole. I also just picked up adj. LCAs and PHR to get the rear square. And I plan on getting some rear shocks. I am hoping for some 1.5Xs this year.

Wow! 3 years without racing?! I could not do that. Nice work then. Sure is more there then.

It did 391/374 on a Mustang Dyno. I have put on a ported TB since then. And I think the rear was messed up then too so should be closer to 400 I think. I trapped 119 in +1000 DA. I am still learning the car. I have only made like 100 passes in my life so I am a novice. I also have great mid range. I really think I am shifting way too high. I was trapping the same in like 500ft shifting at 7k vs. 6700 at 1000ft. Do you run a 2-step?

3 years without racing because Ive been putting everyone elses car together

Dumb stuff like http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...asdrag2006.flv

http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...eve8second.flv

Tell me about working the back half, my 11.33 was 93.3 in the eigth and 122.7 in the quarter, even with a 1.50 60 ft. Rusty shifting! Larry sounds like you were driving it full out last times out, still want to compare the ghey shifting logs? I think your doign a much better job on that than me

Congrats! Doesn't look like the air was extremely exceptional either from the temps on the slips. Little weight reduction, some cold air and 10s are yours!
