Default Launch clips good and bad

These are a few clips from last Sunday. The car hooked initially and as the night went on the track went away.

Feel free to add constructive criticism.

I'm just glad we weren't in the left lane on one of the passes

BTW- The Madman SYA bars sure did their job.

looks good...

may look to need some double adjustables up front to help with the bounce/rebound

Thanks Larry! Yeah I have the QA1s Rs on the front I'm running an iron block 408 and the left front is maxed out as high and stiff as I can get it. I had them set at 3-4 intially. I needed to tighten them up a bit to limit the rebound bottoming out, but we were only able to get a few runs and the track went away quick.

I'll start out stiffer next time out

I raiseed the front of my car up a little it gives the shock more travel to control the suspension. Also I would check to see if the shocks are blown. I have had mine kill the seals and blow most of the oil out, which would give no control over the shock.

I know that the high ride height kinda looks gay, but look at all the nhra stockers, like Emmons bros and others they all have a pretty tall ride height.

rebound loose/compression stiff. I have the AFCO's and they work for me. My rebound is set at 1/4 turn from all the way loose and my compression is set on 6 out of 8 adjustment levels. I,m going to try setting my compression on 7 then 8 as I still have minimal bounce. I also have 300 lb springs FYI. Madman chose all of my components. Madman knows his stuff and he helped me get my short times into the 1.2X range.

Bad *** car BTW

Yeah MadMan recommended the DA Afco shocks for me also. I'm going to check into them. The bounce is the main issue really. I'm am pulling 1.2X 60fts when the air and track is good, but when it comes up it lands harder than I like. During the Summer months it'll be almost perfect with a little tightening of the front shocks. The DA Afcos will be nice and probably offer a bit more ET improvement.

Joe- I did raise the nose a bit to give me some additional ground/bounce clearance and have about another 1/4" of adjustment left. I'm going to tweak a few things and test her out this weekend. If I can't get it to recover quicker, I'll get the Afcos on order.

Thanks guys!!
