Default Vid of my new best of motor 6.36@108

13.0:1 Solid roller 412 with Dart heads and a sheetmetal intake and 105MM TB. It has mufflers LOL.......Car sounds sick as hell as you can tell. I went to Redline and went a 6.43@108.8 a few weekends ago but the tranny was f'ed up. I put a new TH400 in it and that fixed the problem. You can hear the car hit the rev limiter (8K) from 1-2 shift but that was because the light was set for 9200 for some reason. I guess I bumped it with my helmet or something. Either way it has a 6.2X in it and that is all I needed to see. I will spray the car next time I go out with 300.....After I get that dialed in, I will hit it with another 300.......

In no way is this setup for N/A. The rings are gapped for alot of bottle and the cam from cammotion is (quote from cammotion) "Not going to run very good N/A but if you spray it with more then 300 it will really shine" this setup is completely set for the bottle from the gears to the converter and so on..I don't even shift into 3rd. LOL It does have 31 degrees of timing in it though. This is on drag radials and I will be keeping the drag radials for the bottle also. (new ones of coarse)

It went that fast on motor with 130lbs of cranking compression. LOL.........I should be able to put alot of bottle to this motor without any problems.

I am shooting for a 7.9 in the 1/4 so that means i need to be at a 5.1x in the 1/8. With all the research that I have done on this build I believe the motor can take it. It really all depends on what happens on the first stage. If it runs better then expected I will pill the second stage down to 200 but what ever amount it takes to reach my goal is what it takes. I am thinking I need to make 1100+ on the chassis dyno so you know as well as I do that will take some bottle even if it is setup strictley of the bottle with the numbers that I am making N/A. It made 555rwhp n/a by the way. It weighs in at 3050lbs with me in it with the 15lb bottle strapped in the car. I am also wanting to go 1.24 or better 60ft on the drag radials....We already went 1.29 60ft on these tires with a car that made 750 to the tires ( We could not get them to spin leaving on one stage right off the Trans brake). I swear by the radials. They are just as good as a slick in my opion but it is much more stable on the big end.

The N20 record is going down this year ... 600 shot !

I guess you need the sissy bars if your going to stick 300 off the brake

Good luck !

.043 Cometics with 1/2 studs. Torqued to 110lbs. LOL 3 different times. I do not want these things lifting. I think the Dart heads by themselves with the thicker deck will solve that but just in case I did whatever I could to help the situation. I will not lean on it hard with the 300. It will be a very conservative tune. I have 8 egts and a wideband on the BS3 and that will tell me all I need to know. I will have 120 octane fuel in it also. I do not plan on scattering this but who ever does plan on that right? LOL

Good info Thanks...

I have .045 cometics & reg size L19's. I hade the same feeling about the thicker casting heads, i have ETP's and plan on turning up the wick a bit this season.
I dont PLAN on scattering my **** either but who does is right
If I can keep it off the bumper I think I'll be OK shooting to be a second slower than your goal

Carb. intake? What N20 kits? Any under the hood pics?

That is just a vacuum pump. I wish it was a dry sump. It is the SX2 NX kit. The cam is 279/292 732/732 on a 114 lsa

I am sure that is where the cranking compression is going. With 130lbs of cranking compression you get away with alot of bottle. My last motor had 195 cranking compression with LS1 heads and ARP studs and it wouldn't keep the heads on.

Nice shake down runs. I hope to make it to redline this year for a big bracket race. Good luck.

I am not sure what all I can run in around here. I am sure there is something in Clash of Titan but not to many drag radial classes around here. I might run it in some 9in madness. Whatever you want with no bigger then a 30/9. I have the opportunity to drive other cars in Ten5 racing so I am not to worried about fitting my car into anything right now. My goal has always been to break the record for LS1 nitrous cars...So if I can do that I would be happy and then it will probably sit in the garage this season. Built this car for pure personal satisfaction so it doesn't hurt my feelings to let it sit if it runs the number. There is not much 1/4mile racing here so it will be awhile before I get those numbers. I have to switch the rear gears from 3.89s to 3.73 also..With 3.89 gears I am maxed at 142mph so I should be close to maxed out in the 1/8 mile

you can try true street in nmca. We have a fastest street car shootout here, (local race) that street driven licensed tagged cars take a 20 mi trip then go line up and run.

pretty fun.

sounds like you will have a very fast nitrous car period, let alone a ls1 nitrous car.
