Back to Back Comparison YANK SS3600 VS SS4000
I Have been using YANK's SS3600 for 2 years and I absoulutly loved it but started to feel I needed a little more to get the truck out of the hole. I ordered a SS4000 with intentions of back to back comparisons and here are the results.

WOW what a difference in how the truck 60 foots... Its actually stalling to about 4400. The Shift extension N/A is 1000RPM, I did make one shakedown nitrous pass. A 10.86@124MPH through the mufflers. (mufflers were off on passes above) The Shift extension on the Nitrous passes was about 700 rpm.
I made 7 passes On the SS4000 Every single one had a 1.55x sixty foot. Slowest pass was 11.70@116.1 Fastest is shown above So the converter is very consistant.
I am very happy with the converter. I will have to do a little more nitrous testing to see what it does.
Truck Weighs 3800lbs with me driving engine is a Budget built 370 Iron block
Thanks to Dave at YANK for taking care of me. This was my 5th converter purchace from YANK.

I haven't ever driven a yank stalled car, besides hitting harder at the track outta the hole do you notice the converter any more than you would either of the TCI's I mentioned?

He went through 3 TCI converters in a month and the last one took out his trans. I have a used TCI in my car and the thing is looser than hooker at a frat party. Unless I stall it to the moon it won't move out. But for the $300 I paid for it I'm happy lol.

Like Bill said, I had nothing but problems with them, and I paid more for one of their top of the line converters than I did for my Yank PT4400. Then the ones I got after that were even worse and ended up grenading my trans. All of the people having problems are ones that have bought their converters in the last 6-9 months. TCI said they were seeing hundreds of them breaking. I guess the guy that tests them was on vacation.
The Yank is night and day difference compared to the TCI. No problems with driveability (PT4400 stall and 3.42 gears) and it performs awesome at the track.

Originally I was thinking 100-150 shot, but lately I'm leaning towards saving for a blower setup. This thing's got a forged bottom end in it, but the kid I bought it from was wanting to do bottle on it. Does this converter work well with a blower or should I stick with what I've got if I go that route. I want something that works well with both seeing as I'm not 100% sure the route I'm going to take yet.

Nice gains!
I have thought about going to a bigger converter, just worried that my stock 4L60 won't like it. The nitrous is likely coming off, so I will need to some way to go a little quicker.

N/A: PT4400
SS series is more for street and they can handle a small shot of nitrous.
