Default 12.29 Almost there !!! cam only car, 1.68 60 ft, with pic

alrighty, just got back from the track,
mods are in my sig and the car domain page for full list.
the only thing i did for the track was put on a set of et streets and take out my front sway bar.

ran a 1.68 60 ft,
12.29 @ 112 mph, 1\4. this is with a 25 mph headwind, ( it sucked *** )

with no wind, or a tail wind, is it possible that i could knock off those 3 tenths that are keeping me from the 11 mark.

im launching at 6000 rpm, and dumping the clutch. its leaving hard. suspension is set up for auto-x and road race, not drag.

check out this sidewall wrinkle action.

Not sure where you are racing (part of the country) but cooler air will help out some, and as mentioned skinny wheels & tires will cut down rolling resistance to help out some.

Good luck!

I beg to differ. I went 1.52 60ft and 11.81 @ 114mph with boltons and drag radials. Stock heads, cam, and bottom end in 90* weather back in July. It can be done if you have your suspension set up right.

If I were you I'd throw some skinnies on the front and adjust the suspension for the drag strip.

does it sound like my clutch is slipping, its a brand new spec stage 3+ with about 600 miles on in, ( just broke it in) im launching at 6000 rpm and dumping it.

looking at your 60 foot your launching pretty good but your MPH is alittle on the low side. Just wait till the weather drops and you should see an 11 second pass.
