Default Finally hit the 11s (pics and Vids)

Went out to the track today for one last time to see if I could finally get some good passes in with the new tune and injectors. It turned out to be my best times ever and I was very pleased, here are the times.

1st pass
1.67 60'
7.53 1/8
11.82 1/4
114.93 mph

2nd pass
1.64 60'
7.50 1/8
11.80 1/4
114.2 mph

13rd pass
1.67 60'
7.48 1/8
11.73 1/4
115.97 mph

I was very happy with the way the car ran and I feel with a cooler day (it was about 75 out but no humidity) I could defiantly hit some solid mid 11s. Now I'm anxious to she what it'll do with some gears in a rear and some suspension.

Well the tune I had on the car had my shift point set at 5900 or so which was probably one of the biggest things. I bought bigger injectors and a 160 thermostat and had it installed and retuned by someone else and right from the start the car felt much better. Keeping the car cooler also really did affect my mph as seen from the 2nd to 3rd run as I let the car sit a while. I'm gonna powerwash the radiator this winter and clean it real well and possibly do a couple other thing to get it to run cooler (it runs at about 185 now) and with some 3.73s it should trap 1-2mph higher I'm hoping.

What was wrong with your old injectors and who did your tune?

old injectors were stock and well over 100% duty cycle new tune was done by a guy by the name of Dr. Phil he specializes in corvettes but works on all GM cars. Hes only right down the street from my house too and he works out of his garage for a living, many guys bring cars from other states to him as well.

You got 2mph from the tune. Nice results. I'm in the Toledo area, can you PM me with his contact information. Does he use a dyno?

Appreciate it.

In the first video that bike beat me pretty good. I technically beat the one in the pic where I'm launching, but i'm sure the guy couldn't drive for **** and he didn't launch it at all.

Just got back from weighing my car on a truck scale, seeing as its full weight I was curious how heavy it really was. Car is a 98 trans am .

3500lbs without driver and 3680 with driver, this was with just over a 1/4 tank of gas.
