NMCA Late Model EFI...10 days to appeal
NMCA has announced it's preliminary rules for the late model EFI class which is a mixed index class that several people here have participated in. There was a call for LT model motors to be allowed in the class. Apparently, either the request was denied or noone sent in a request.
Now there is a 10 day period to make request before the rule are set in stone for 2008.
Speak now of hold your peace for next season.

I sent them an email telling them to let LT1s in too, but I think I pissed off the one admin guy over there. I got a PM saying I was picking on him.
Hopefully they allow them in. I would like to see more cars in the class.

You have to remember that whoever is sponsoring the class has the final say most likely. If its still Eaton and you can get one of the Eaton guys on your side to push it that would be the way to go IMO.

I sent them an email back when they had the rules change request. Someone over in the NMCA must have a hard on to keep the LT1 out of the class.
For any LT1 guys out there, if you are interested in running the class I would speak up now, and send the NMCA an email or something.
I agree with KP go talk to Eaton.

Yeah John and I were street racers, both with 10 second street cars, but realized the consequences and were frankly tired of the bullshit. Now he just drags me down the 1320 in EFI

You do have a point. I really wanted a black or Blue one. But At the time I really needed a new daily driver and I couldn't pass up the car since it only had 32,000 miles on it.

I wanted a hugger orange or sunset orange one, but when I came across this one, I couldn't pass it up either. I was more concerned with getting a hardtop with cloth interior.
