SAM SS Goes 8.75 @ 153 NA ! LS1Tech has a new faster NA all-motor time as the familiar orange SAM SS driven by Judson Massingill just went an 8.75 @ 153 tonight according to what I heard from some of their guys! Chris up there told me that Judson had run out of gear by around the 1000 foot mark so they will go a little faster once they put a slightly taller gear in the car.

Yes maybe Chris will post something tomorrow or I will find out more info. I know they will go faster soon when they get the taller gear or taller tire. This car could have run this fast a long time ago but they are finally getting some of that SAM LS1 power down to the ground now!

427" C5R based motor. C5R heads. Beck Sheetmetal intake. Big cam, lots of compression and some VERY good port work.
That is the very simplified version of the list and I can add more later.

... BUT I wouldn't screw with the gears, just go with a little taller tires (say 30" vice the 28.5')..

Keeping the 28's on since that is what the LSX is going to demand for next season. Test with what you must run with you know. Not sure on the video though.

Great job guys ! Naturally Aspirated cars are WAY more impressive to me than the power adder cars are 
Glad to see you guys sticking with the NA game and setting the bar lower, congrats !
I also think you should try the 30" radial slick. The LSX shootout rules should be changed to allow that tire, it's bad a$$ !
