This was the year of the dial in and adding suspension.
The bad, broke all 5 studs on a run causing me to wreck. Collided with a Mustang.
The good, I now run on a 100 shot what I did on a 200. 1.42 60 ft , 10.42 @ 128 mph.

Cool thread.
Raced the formula once.. 12.8
Raced the vette once.. 13.1
Raced the 9 sec drag car 0 times.
Hopefully next year I'll FINALLY get the drag car back out again and go fast.

this year was my best season but also my first season. i beat my year goal of 13.5 with a 13.3. i went 2 rounds deep at Chevyfest at New england dragway in street payout class ( probably couldof went even deeper but ran out of fuel at the line ![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)

... I did a lot of mods and it was great
next season should even be better with a rebuilt 4l60e and a 3400 vigilante converter. goal for next year is 12.9x and be consistant and win some rounds in my tracks points series, i'll be competing in it for the first time.

Converted from M6 to TH400 at the end of 06, spent the year learning how to cut a light (old farts like me take longer to learn). Started off 07 with a 10.58 1st day out in late March beating the best with the M6 of 11.10, never saw a 10.5x again till the weather cooled in October. By then I had learned the tree, was dailing in the fuel on the D1 setup & saw nothing for the last 4 weeks of the season but 10.4s & even a couple 10.3s on the last day in November. Switched from bias tires to DRs & didn't have to put wood blocks under the axel wherever I parked (maybe the best mod for 2007). All in all a great season, even got past the 1st round a couple times in foot brake brackets.

I didn't get to go to the track very much for 2007. I did manage a new best for the SS --11.36 @119. 2006 had a best of 11.73 @ 116. Traction was my major problem. I may have ran a 10.9x if I could've gotten off the line clean. 2008 should bring some mid to high 10's since I did a cam swap and will be full rear suspension. I will be spraying a little more too.

well this was not my best year but probably one of the most fun years for me and I started it off with a LS1 after many years with stangs! I went to 3 GTG cruise race days(I guess thats what you call them) and won a total of 11 out of 18 races and won all of my grudge races except 1 against a fast Mach1 who I have become friends with and have an ongoing friendly grudge race still happening!
I have also learned to be very open minded since switching over to the "Darkside" and learned that LS1's run like a **** N/A and really fast with the "right nitrous set up"
I am hoping to get a new best once my TUNE goes in but will not find out til' the first of the new year! so 2008 I will be shooting for some low 7's N/A with just a few bolt on's and hope to make the SI top ten on their list!

Well I'm gonna have ot say this was the best season so far.. Last year I ran a best on motor of a 10.89, this year I was able to get it down to a 10.54 and gain 4 mph over what it was running last year, which was a good gain IMO for not doing anything other then tweaking on the car. Went to Pinks Allout and was selected for the "underdog 4" but due to a emmissions fitting ejecting itself in the burnout box I had to end my day a little earlier then I would have liked. Finally put the nitrous kit on the car at the end of the season so I could put the wonderign to rest as to what the car would do with what it was built for, ran 9.77 off the trailer first run with the 100 jets in it, upped it to 150 and found the limit of the suspension (60 foot got worse with more hp) and managed a 9.61@138.6 out of it, ran 139.2 final run but spun even more that run. Now with the car getting updated to a 10 pt and the raceweight hopefully going down to 3300 to 3200 from the 3500 it was, I'm looking foreward to the 08 season, I'm planning on trying to makeit to as many 9.5 index races at the local track as I can, once the chassis cert is taken care of and I get hte nhra/ihra lic. stuff out of the way.

It was up and down for sure.
First weekend out I was in my dads car putting it on the bumper running 5.90's and got down to 4, had to crack the throttle in the air and still broke out. Had two more weekends putting it right on the bumper and then the car started going left. In ONE pass we broke the converter and pushrod so that was chasing problems forever. Broke two converters without knowing it and had that magical bog when I would get down in the rounds.... KILLED me. Got a new converter and ran the fastest pass ever (5.88 in sig) and won the next weekend out (8 freaking rounds). I got locked on the tree and the night I won the car ran dead on 4 times with .00X or .01X lights.
Spent much of the winter/summer working on my car, finally got it ready in late September. Ran great, had a wicked sway from a shock going bad. Got a runner up (7 damn rounds) my second time out in it.
Also made the fastest pass of my life in a dragster. 5.006 @ 136 with a 1.08 60 ft., that was different. Launch is pretty boring but damn does that thing motor out the big end, plus it is a VERY bumpy track so the car was moving all over the place.
I ran in 5 different racecars this year so that was cool, 1 7 second/2 9 second and 2 10 second cars. Made about 200 passes.
So-so year in all, had a LOT of frustration but when things got back together things went well. My second year racing, I've had some experiences lol.

made it out 2 nights back to back raced all night on the motor on night 1 and netted a 11.2x@124.xx out of it on the motor, then managed a 9.74@143 in and out of it on the small shot, followed by a 9.96@116 when it blew up half track so over all not that bad. coming back with drag brakes, EWP, 1/2 head studs, 4150 style TB, 4.56s, nano kit and a whole lot of fun times.

Been trying to finish my masters degree so absolutely no time for the car and almost alienated the wife.
This is my last semester so thing should start turning around in May.
