Whats The Fastest Irs Gto?? Hi All, Just Wondering What Is The Fastes Irs Gto Ls1 Powered Car Over There? (as I Am In Australia) I Have Ran 8.91@153.

I think the fastest stock bodied GTO in the US( 8.20s) is a guy named Nick Rinehart that runs NMCA "Xtreme Street". It has a GTO interior but also NHRA certified chassis and it has a 522cu big block with a 4 link rear.
There is a good # of GTOs in the mid/low 10s with IRS but only 1 guy that just went 9.78 w/IRS, there is no one close to you in the US.

That was the rule I was thinking of. I'm old, so I know all the 60' & 70's vettes had to be upgraded, didn't know about all this modern stuff. Thanks for finding it.

I think I'm the fastest US GTO with an IRS. I've gone 9.76 @ 138 on nitrous.
I've only made 3 passes so far and I'm changing a few things around this winter so I might try to get closer to your # this spring.
My IRS is all bone stock. I've never broke anything yet. I'll be running cryo treated cv's and stubs this year.
