Default Finally broke 10's... Details/Slips within

I took the car to Montgomery Motorsports Park yesterday to take advantage of the cold weather and good air that rolled through. The DA was -840 ft. The best pass of the day was 10.94 @ 122. The setup is listed below:

Dart 225cc as cast heads (milled .020")
Comp 220/224 114 LSA
Mac Mids with ORY
TCI 4000 Stall in a stock 4L60E (it's hurtin!!!)
Underdrive pulley
Fast 78 bored to 85mm, home ported
PP 85mm Throttle body
Hal R' with 275# springs in the front (set on 8)
Comp. Eng. rear shocks set on 50/50
255/50/16 Mickey T drag radials
3.73 gears
Skinnies up front
Completely stock fuel system

Not sure on the raceweight, but I removed the passenger seat, front swaybar, jack/spare, unbolted muffler, front bumper support, compressor, and condensor. The last time I weighed the car it was 3530 lbs.

I was very pleased with the results. I need to make a new signature now. Slips below. Can someone give me a title change?

Mark... yes the cam I am running is one that I bought used from Ed Curtis. It came out of a GTO blower car. Works great NA as well. Street manners are excellent.

Gator... I hope this opens some people's eyes to both small cams AND the potency of Dart heads.

What rpm do you shift at? Do you have a 6 pt in there?

I'm guessing you are 3300 - 3400 raceweight.

PSJ,

I have the shiftpoints set a 6000 on the 1-2 (shifts much later than that), and 6400 on the 2-3.

I don't have a 6 point, but my wife is all over me to get one. We have a baby on the way.

I wish my car weighed that little. The only things I have removed from the car are the items listed above. I really don't have any lightweight parts, other than the go fast stuff that is lighter than stock. I also weigh around 210 myself. I really wish I could have weighed the car yesterday but they never have the scales on at MMP.

Hmm, maybe 3450 raceweight, hard to say, but I always assume a Z is about 3375-3400 stock + driver.

I calculated the weight today by subtracting what I have taken out since the last time I weighed the car and came up with ~3480-3490.

I called one of my buddies that I race with last night to tell him about going 10's. He said, "I saw you wife driving the car on Thursday with your dog hanging out the window". The camaro gets better gas mileage than the truck I daily drive!
