Yes, I shift slow. When on the street a shift will cost me about 5-8 feet every time a shift is performed. Is this slow enough to kill mph?

I think without my lame driving the car would trap 105 easy.
Yes, slow shifting will hurt MPH & ET, i don't shift mine too hard, but i try & shift as quick as possible without power shifting, also like was said, weather is a BIG factor, so you need to take that in consideration too.

practice/pratice/practice lol

First of all if your low track light comes on its cutting your power, turn that traction control off. And I wouldnt be too worried my first night out with my 00 SS I ran 13.7 at 104 with a 2.25 60 ft. Then next pass tried to launch a bit better, hit a 13.5 at 105 with a 2.19 so i picked up 2 tenths and a mph with dropping my 60 ft by .06. This is in hot/humid south florida.

I already stated on page one that the TC was turned off. The low-trac light will STILL illuminate.

Lid and SLP LM1 are worth about 20whp and so without that I bet you would have run an identical mph to me. Consider I had 3/4 tank of gas and without it would have been a 103mph run.

Lid and TSP rumbler are my planned mods for now. Anything else is a bit spendy.

I was running full tank of gas man... You just have to work on getting off the line smoothly and nailing your shifts (I come about as close to a powershift as you can get...) I lift off the throttle but not much and I shift pretty damn quick... sometimes I run into that stupid 'small line' issue with my clutch... thinking about doing the drill mod but I don't need to rip on the car any harder than I already do..haha

Foot all the way off the loud pedal, clutch to the firewall, yank shifter, foot off clutch, floor loud pedal.

I am still a bit sad. I know my ET would suck due to the POOR 60', but my mph looks a bit low too, no? Would a 2.36 bogging 60' kill mph as well as ET? I thought I should trap around 104-05. My car is a bone stock 2001 6-speed WS6. I had 3/4 tank of gas as well, noob move number 2, lol.

Is my car a dog, or did my bogging launch own my mph as well as my ET? (I figured my ET would suck the first time out, but I was hoping for a strong mph).

Here is the timeslip. I was on the right.
That was me in the other lane. I blew my belt off and hit 250 degrees at the end of the track. Is it just me or is there a massive display of ricer math going on in this thread lol. Nice run though. Better launch and shifting will get you the time you want. No need to spout altitude, humidity, tire pressure, gas level, new air and fuel filter or the rest of the list. You know there is more in the car and its all related to you, the driver. Better luck next time.
