But a good driver, free mod m6 car can trap 108-110. I don't see a car with a lid, and full exhust going slower then 112. Not stupid stuff, the car sounds like its setup good. Pacesetters, ORY, magnaflow catback, no front sway, rear seat, spare, MT DRs.

I just read page 2-3-4 I dono about the 27 backhalf, that is a lot. I see what you mean chris, 22...... 24 is a great running, stock cam m6. And on a 1.7 and the weather. I see what your saying. Sure you didn't mean to type 89.27

Whats a slip of the other guys on here that day? Or the other runs? Might just be one lane shows 1/8 slower trap, 1/4 a little high?

My ol' lady's 01 SS has headers, lid, tune and has went 12.56 @ 113

Oh yea, it's an AUTO!

It was in about 35 degree weather 2 years ago. It also made 353 rwhp, 364 rwtq I posted this a long time ago in the Dyno section and had alot of non believers till some of the locals that witnessed it posted up.

Ok, that's fast. For whatever reason your making as much power to the wheels as the OP should be making, and it was decent weather.

An auto making the same power to the wheels as an M6 will always be faster. He left harder so he 60'ed better and got marginally better ETs but you had more MPH in the 1/8 and less in the 1/4.

Compare the slips you gain on him the whole way nearly tying at the finish line but some how he has .95 MPH more than you. How could you have ran that down?

Not only that but his previous best was 12.79 @ 109 and with only the removal of his sway bar picked up 2 tenths and 5 mph. The reduction in ET should have caused less MPH if anything.

Do you feel as if this is your duty to tell everone why this can't happen? Did I say the only thing different was removal of the sway bar? NO

Well someone posted that. You didn't say anything was different.

As long as someone keeps arguing I gonna be here, because I have no life and I'm bored.

I ran there the same day. 4 runs, 3 in the right lane, 1 in the left. I think he was always running in the right lane (tower side). All my runs were nearly identical. ET and MPH didn't vary between the two lanes. The air was terrible as it was hot and humid. I ran between 13.08 and 13.19 all between 105-106 mph. Better air would have gotten me a 12.9X and maybe another 1-2 mph. I didn't notice a cam by the idle, but like someone posted, you wouldn't hear an LS6 cam anyway. I video taped one run, but he spun bad off the line and ran a low 13 at 113. I can post it, but I don't see how it would help prove or disprove anything.

Well I took my car to the track yesterday(me driving), didn't do as good as procsls6. I out weigh him by about 50to60lbs and I had a 1/2 a tank of gas and it was very humid. My first pass the car was hot I ran a 12.75@112.49 with a 1.887 60'. I drove 60miles went straight to tech and made the fisrt pass never shut the car off. Not bad

I just went to the track last Saturday and ran a 12.79 at 112.9 with a 2.0 60ft with bolt ons only in 85 degree weather so I believe that car ran a 12.55 at 114.

he still has 1.5mph or 15rwhp on you and it was 90* weather...just a little to much man plus the 1/8 to 1/4 dont add up...my guess is that if he is telling the truth it has a small ls6 cam that he doesnt know about...other wise with full bolt ons and cool - da air he will be in the 120mph range at close to full weight

I was there too, Some of you must understand that MIR (Maryland International Raceway) is one of the Best tracks in the area, it has the best air around and the track prep is by far the best. at less that 100 ft asl and always has a nice river breaze that keeps humidity down.
I also ran my Best there (12.41 @ 109.35) 1.845 60ft on 275/40 17 BFG DR's
Stock Tranny and Motor just Bolt-ons.

The OP Car was running like clock work it was awesome to witness..
I do not know him and never met him so no bias here.

No Stickers on my car, I was with the Black mustang with red stripes that looked like a V6 but had a 5.4L 3V F150 Engine with a Turbo, he was running 11.6 still trying to dial the car in, new engine and 4R70 Race tranny with trans brake. 8 lbs boost and 480hp 550tq

You aint kiddin there. I went to a local track back in May with the GTP. It was in the low 80s, ran mostly 13.08-13.1s & worst run was a 13.3. My traps were all 106-107mph with 1.9-2.1 60s. I went back to the same track 3 weeks after, similar weather, might have been 5 degrees warmer. That time, my best run was a 13.19, my worst was a 13.38, trapping 104-105 with 1.9-2.15 60s. I thought how is that possible for my traps to be that much different with very similar ets & weather? BTW, a stock 2007 Impala SS there ran a 1.5 60 with a 14.6 1/4 mile time no DRs. I seen his timeslip, but no way he ran a 1.5 with that car.

am i understanding that 114mph is to high of a speed when running a 12.5 to 12.6?

The reason I ask is because i ran a 86mph in the 1/8 and 13.16 @ 110.13 in the 1/4
thats with a 60ft of 2.02

Stock gears, stock automatic tranny, stock everything motor, stock exhaust manifold, flowmaster exaust with y-pipe no cats...yes stock air lid....

no 114mph is right, they think the computer was wrong or I had more work done to the car. Their was 2people there that saw my car who said it did not have a cam. And since this post(which is very old now) I have gone 113mph with me driving the car.

Ill take your word on that...The way I look at it you have excelent top end speed....I know mine does.... I think its great being able to chase down then pass up the person your racing at the strip...

Me personally I dont see how my car hits 110 and only ran a 13.1... or is that normal?
