Default 1st time out ,Cam Only 11.5 @ 121

NYIRP yesterday had a track rental. Wanted to see how the car did cam only. It put down 420whp/389wtq. Streetsweeper cam, LS6 intake, ported stock TB, headers, SLP 2OTL catback, SUX2BU style ram air ducts, S60 with 3.73 gears. m6 car, some weight savings, nothing fancy.

On street tires ( stock z28 16s with 245 yoahamas) wanted to run some 11's and should trap 120. 1st pass 12.0 120 no slip didn't have the printer hook up. Loose the front shocks up, next pass.
1.969 60'
11.77 @121.54

Then switched to drag wheels. I bought a 28" ETdrag witch is way to be for the car/power right now. And I could use a lot more gear. I did some work to get them to fit the wheel well, but wasn't sure on howmuch they were going to grow, so wanted to sneak up on the mph to be save. And never lauched on slicks. 1st pass 1.8 60' Next pass to 80mph a 1.67 60' 4.84 330' I don't remember were I let off? 7.45 1/8 mph was only 85. I slipped/dumped the clutch to fast, think it bogged. I'll see the vid.

Only full pass, I was just going to just coast end of 3rd. But said **** it and graped 4th.
The 60 sucked I rode the clutch a little to much.
1.71 60'
7.43/95.5 1/8th
11.505 121.08 1/4

I'm impressed the car still went 121 on the big *** 28x10.5x15s etdrag. Most loose some mph. The 3.73 are really bad, I was thinking I could just leave it in 3rd and hit the 7K limiter. Needs a LOT more gear, and a rear sway bar. Still have the stock. After that pass I think I broke the truetrac its making some nosie, and off the gorunds acts funny. Not like a normal one, Ill check it out mon. I need to et some seat time and get the 60's down, car should ET better then that.

Nice runs! You've got a lot left in it. I was thinking about trying some 28" tires the other day but figured I'd go easy on my clutch....now I wished i would have tried them. What gear do you think you're going to switch to? 4.10....4.30? Again real nice....what's your race weight?

Ya, Im not sure between thouse 2 gears. My street wheels are only 25.7" stock sized 245/16s, and Im driving the car to the shootout.
I just put a spohn 1inch rear swaybar, in the car a min ago. New Era had one in stock, I was gona order it. lol I'll see how it dose weds. at the street car shootout at NYIRP this weds. I'll probally just be on street tires and race in the heads up- 11.50 index

Nice runs, not sure why you were slipping the clutch. You have the rearend, just take it up to 5k and dump it, might need to go higher than that.
