Seems a bit slow but not horrible considering... at 3200DA I went 13.4 @ 105mph on a 2.1 60ft... takes finesse to get off the line... I roll off the line at 2200rpm slipping the clutch until I am moving then go WOT..... seems to work for me.

I'll give that technique a try. I'll probably be going back out with a catback so we'll see if that helps any. I'm just going for a 2.2-2.1 60ft now and hopefully hitting mid 13's out here.

with a 2.1 60ft there is no reason you shouldn't aim for low 13s man.

I am 13.1 ~ 13.3 on almost every pass now just slipping the clutch and leaving smooth.

7P...I feel ya here. When I had lid/cai, I cut a 13.47 @108.93 in S.A., but it was cooler (November 05') Cool evenings and DRs will get you into the 12's w/practice!.

Good luck.

lol funny! i'm still cuttin a better 60' ft then the OP

but your post is pretty arrogant...maybe you just can't drive? i know plenty of people with faster cars than a stock ls1 fbody and they slip the clutch around 3k or 4k. works best for them.

If I can leave with enough gas off idle to spin the tires why add an extra 2-3000 rpms? Just so you'll have to ride the clutch more? Technically I would still be on the clutch well above whatever rpm I initially started from.

So if you and all the people you know can do it that way then that's fine, but most try to leave too aggressive and just end up wasting a pass.

And yes, I can drive just fine. I just put my car in drive and hit the gas. And if you think your mustang can run with my car on regular radials, I dare you to try. Why even come on LS1tech? I'm sure there are plenty of mustang boards that would love to hear your good advice.

Hey thanks mrbigjeep, you great about complimenting yourself huh. That was my first time to the track with that car. I didnt post my other slips but ever one is within .2-.3mph of each other. I think I can drive just fine just need to hone my launch.

arrogant...that hurt your head coming up with that big word?

you have to launch from 2000rpm thats the perfect launch you can do with regular tires, i tested every way of launching out and found 2k rpm was the best slip the clutch launch.... slip the clutch and floor it. im all stock and got a 13.8 with 122k miles hot lapping 6 runs straight.

2200ish was perfect for me but I agree.... right around 2k is the sweet spot...beyond that it's air and track prep.

no compliment lol. just saying its better than yours because of his comment. and i'm sure you can drive...but don't lie to yourself. a 2.4 60' ft is freakin terrible. just find whatever works for you...on your launch.

and oh what a comeback..i'm gonna go cry now because i've got a headache from reading the dictionary trying to come up with big words to impress you.

I already commented on my 60' being less than adequate of what the car can do. Great job reiterating points. Trying being helpful or constructive like s8er95z, joncr96z, and many others that have posted or gtfo.

Guys -- let's keep this on the technical side or this post is done. First and last time.

Good luck... you should have no problem... he is video of exactly how hard I launch to get my times...

Here is the Fiancee running at a rental in May... 13.15 pass

Here is my pass at a rental in November.... 13.19 pass...

The shifting technique made the difference in MPH and overall... honestly if she was as quick through the gears she would have smoked me big time. Regardless...this is how the launch is done.
