Default I might have a SERIOUS problem....need help

I was at PIR this weekend, I have a '00 black z28 bone stock. I've made around 100+passes on Bandimere and Julesburg in Colorado, and I know I can race. My camaro had a 15.0 first run with a 2.4 60' I launched at 2000 RPM's, second pass was a 14.9' and I launched at 2500' RPM with a 2.2 60'. Does that seem slow to you guys? Could there be something wrong with my car or do I just need to go to the store and buy some vagisil because I got my feelings hurt?

you need a set of tires bad. If you can get that 60' down to a 1.9 range it will make a lot of difference.Btw what is your elevation at the track you were running?

the track is like 100' above sea level, and my tires grabbed I didn't spin with a 2500RPM launch at all. Even though the 60' is bad it doesn't account for a freakin' 15 second quarter.

You might know you can race...but what do you know about actually driving? Hahah

That made me laugh out loud. Yes, the 60ft time is why you ran a 15 second pass. If all you are doing is spinning down the track..guess what..it makes you go slower...

What did it run @ Bandimere? I know that track ain't 100ft. above sea level lol, what track is PIR? & what was the MPH, sure you could use better tires, but i've seen guys run 2.0s, even 1.9s on crappy radials, even if you got the 60ft. down to 2.0, that would be 14.6 @ best, thats why we really need the MPH, both 1/8 & 1/4, are you sure you weren't spinning? I ran 14.5s @ 97 in my fairly stock 97 LT1 with a 2.4 60ft. @ 1500ft. track.

depends on where you are at in texas that car would run faster because we are no where close to the elevation where you are at. just work on getting that 60 ft. down.

well I can get the 60' down, the trap speed was 74 1/8 and 94 1/4. but what's a good launch rpm for a stock z28? I didn't run this Camaro at Bandimere.

Your car is in sad shape if 94 mph is all it ran at 100ft. altitude, are you sure about that altitude?? where is this track at, what state?

were one of your plug wires unplugged or something??? There is no way your trap speeed and times should be that slow if you were only 100ft above sea level, the first time i went to the track i had 2.2 60's and i still was running 13's plus my car is a heavy *** convertible which had a race weight of almost 3900lbs. Has your car been tuned or anything? that could be the problem since you were at a high elevation before

so there were some developments the past couple of days, I started to practice my launch, and realized after 3800 rpm I have a loss a power, not a huge loss, but noticeable. Then I start hearing a tick at certain RPMS but only under load... wtf?
