yes..I overlooked that as well this morning when I looked. We where not aware that they had that low of a retail price.
**** we have more then $50 into them after shipping
I will see if there is anything we can do about this, but no promises.

CAT stated there are changes in process of being made to their website, prices don't reflect current price list.
Flexplates are sourced directly from CAT
Our price includes Free UPS shipping

Just verified that you MUST use the oblong shaped holes on the CAT flexplate. These holes match right up to the TCI flexplate. These flexplates are mass produced as are the TCI's. I find it very hard to believe that ONE would be machined incorrectly. I would look into the converter not being built with the correct specs...

It's an FTI converter. A new sponsor on here. I'll find out if the TCI fits when it gets here Friday or Monday. I am in no way saying it's your fault. Probably just a manufacturing defect on CAT's part. Or it could be the bolt pattern on the converter, but I don't think so since it's a CNC machined piece. I'll let everyone know once the TCI shows up.

cool... let me know how that goes. The converter hub will still be centered in the crank, so there wont be any play or off-balance issues. The CAT flexplates are indexed the same as TCI's are as well. It makes it very easy to line it up.

Thanks. I'm thinking they are just not seeing something right. I hope. Eveytime something like this happens to me with a shop I come closer to putting a lift in my garage. My last house had a tensioned slap and I couldn't do it. But my new house I moved into does not. I just don't know if they make a lift short enough for the ceiling height in my garage.

yes, the mounting holes do need to be enlarged a little bit, but this guy was saying his shop reported that each of the holes being 1/4" "off." which is pretty significant, and highly unlikely in my opinion.

you will have to oblong the holes to get it to work with a standard th350-400 converter (one not made to specifically go to an LS1). i had the same problem with my midwest converter. i went and bought a tci flexplate and it lined up perfect. the speed inc flexplate is NOT drilled the same. and yes i tried the oblong holes. here are the pics i took comparing the 2 flexplates. these pics are with the small bolt pattern of the tci flexplate (for th350-400 converters) lined up to the oblong holes on the speed inc part (ones that are supposed to go to a th350-400 converter).
