Default Speed Inc. SFI approved flexplate?

anybody use it yet?
http://www.speedinc.com/cont.cfm?cid=C0000836

I was browsing their site when I came upon it, I was looking at buying a TCI flexplate as im switching to a 400 soon and well this one is 100 bucks cheaper and SFI approved as well. so looks like a deal and a great way to save money if it is good.

discuss....

Looks like similar construction as the hughes one I have. That one was 130 if I remember correctly, it's been in my car for 3 years now ad a good 200 passes, no problems.

ok well it looks like im either gonna try this one or the hughes one. If it is working great for people and is a little cheaper, I am always down to save some money.

I just ordered one yesterday for my TH400 swap into my GTO. If it's good enough to get SFI approved I'll gladly save some cash over getting a TCI for $215.

better hurry....sale expires today. but the crappy thing is, original price is $119.99 and its on sale for $99.99 and shipping is like $10 but if you spend over $100 you get free shipping. so with the sale you are only really saving $10 instead of $20. SCAMMERS...LOL

I just installed one in my car a few days ago, if you're using 7/16" convertor bolts you'll have to enlarge the holes a touch.

Just big enough to fit a 7/16 bolt through. Used a dremel.

Just got mine in the mail a couple days ago. Thanks for the tip on the dremel. Why are some of the holes oblong shaped?

The logo looks like a C.A.T. products flexplate, judging by the picture it looks like its logo on the lower right. Im sure someone that has received theres can verify if that logo matches theres:

C.A.T. made alot of cheap parts... it may be worth a try. They do have it listed directly on the C.A.T. website for $50!!!! Since I cannot post a link here just do a google search for CAT performance Parts

EDIT: After right clicking and viewing just the image the file name for the picture is CATFP346 so I would assume it is a CAT

I am not sure if they are even aware of the CAT online pricing. It all depends on where they are getting them from. So I don't think Speed Inc is trying to get over on anyone. If they are not direct with C.A.T. they could be getting them from a wholesale warehouse that has to charge them over there price, that of course Speed has to make there money.... that is what they are in buisness for

I would worry too much about it they have price matching, so I am sure that they could just price match for the people who have already purchased it or anyone looking to get it.

The HD version is a flywheel, for a 6 speed car. The other is listed as a flexplate. Notice the HD FLYWHEEL has a description of "14.09"OD/168T, 29#, 12.0" Clutch, '97-02."

Flywheel is used with a clutch, a flexplate is for an auto car. They are clearly listed seperatly.
