How is the DA calculated?
Can some one explain this whole weather thing to me??

Air temp plus barometric pressure plus humidity equal density altitude. Air density decreases as altitude increases (less molecules per cubic centimeter as altitude increases). Here's a link to a DA calculator. The terms it uses are temp, dew point (humidity) and station pressure (barometric pressure at your altitude). I'm a aircraft mechanic and when your doing a turbine engine performance run you have to use a chart for that engine using temp and altitude to ensure you can make "rated" or N1 of the day power for your "location."
