Unhappy Weight reduction.... how to get under 3600lbs w/o hacking?

Weight reduction.... how to get under 3600lbs?

Free stuff
-12..ABS module
-15..AC compressor
-8.6.AC condenser
-22..Bumper, front reinforcement and brackets
-21..Bumper, rear reinforcement and brackets
-41..Carpet & Sound deadening
-5...Cruise control (w/cable, throttle cable cover)
-5...Panhard rod brace, upper
-33..Seats, rear (leather)
-37..Spare tire and jack
-14..Swaybar and brackets, front
-3...Chromoly LCAs
-25..Chromoly K-member
-34..Draglite wheels (15X10 w/tires no tubes)
-21..Exhaust (TD's dumped before axle)
-17...Skinny front tires
-12...Wheels (Prostars front)

Total loss is 325lbs

Is it worth it stuff?
-21..AC Fan Motor under
-9...Heater core (w/ water)

Extra added weight stuff that offset losses
+104...Iron Block engine
+54.Roll-Bar (6-point chromoly
+35..Ford 9 Inch w/ spool
+6...Standalone fuel tank w/ pump & gas

Total potential loss keeping the heater: -126lbs
Total potential loss without heater: -156lbs

Basically what I have been trying to figure out is how to take weight out of the car w/o hacking it up but actually making a difference? It appears the only way to really take significant weight is to buy:

Manuel Rack
Manuel brakes
Strange Brakes
Front seat
iAll bumper supports
Mini Tub

and

Removing the radio, speakers etc....

I honestly want to keep the drivers seat, the radio, and the heater... I don't care about all the other stuff really. Is it possible to get the car under 3600 w/o driver?

41 for carpet? Do you have nothing in it? I know I took the sound crap out, no where close to 40lbs.

Windsheild wiper assembly (including motor). The HVAC can be removed from under the dash and replaced with a Mojave heater to retain heat in colder weather and have a usefull defroster for the windsheild. Passenger side airbag while the dash is out doing the HVAC removal. Replace the factory radiator fan with a single SPAL unit. Plastic inner front fenderwells. Just a few off the top of my head.

you can get under 3600 lbs with ease.. not hacking or cutting.. i havnt "cut" anything off of my car yet... race weight is 3250..

skipped some, didnt see you have an iron block and cage.... have you weighed the car...

i have a buddy that has pretty much same setup as you.. 408 9 inch T350.. yada yada, without cutting he was at about 3400 or so race weight. he weighs 280..

3600 without driver??

my car when i weighed it was 3545 with me in it, thats a fully loaded formula, with no spare tire aand jack, but with a nitrous kit in its place.

so thats a little under 3400 without me, so you figure your car should already be at about 3600 with the weight you added. i dont think youll have any trouble getting it under 3600 without you in it.

keeping the heat and putting a lightweight battery in it is like an oxymoron. those ******* never start when its under 35*.

complete emergency brake is 10 lbs you can lose
passeneger side airbag is around 15 lbs
door bars are like 5 lbs a piece

So there's 35 more lbs you can lose.

My raceweight last time I went to the track was 3605lbs with me (230lbs). I didn't have bumper supports, fog lights, washer fluid resv., spare and jack, and air pump. I did have SFCs, TA with drive shaft loop, LCA relo. brackets, stock manifold and cats, full magnaflow exhaust, amp and wiring, WS6 wheels, and everything else stock with 1/4 tank of gas.

On drag wheels you should be close as it is.

I also still have my Pan Hard brace( I felt I needed it after bending the frame brackets). My single 4in exhaust is half of TDs . I HAVE an Iron Block. Car Also has Full Cage and NHRA safety.

My camaro weighs 3378w/ full tank. Thats with a 10pt cage and keeping full interior(leather). It also has a 9in and a iron block.
I took out everything behind the dash, heater core..etc, AC, P/S, speakers(except the door speakers) all sound deadening(w/stock carpet tho), jack, spare, all the little sound deadening mats throughout, all heat sheilds, etc. Still need to ditch front bumper support

Just FYI, my full street TA w/ no reduction weighs 3526

My car only weighs 3550, and I have removed nothing? All seats are still there, AC still there, front sway bar still on. Has a 9" with a iron center section, with zr1's all around. Are the scales I used off, or is that about right?

Assuming that you were not in it at the time its about right. Mine was 3780 with me and everything still in the car from the factory including a 10 inch sub and a full tank of gas. Plus a believe Trans Ams are a little heavier than the rest.

My car is 3385 with me in it.... 3200 without driver....

manual rack, iron block LT1, 12 point mild steel cage, aerospace front brakes, heater, passenger side airbag removed, stock door panels replaced with sheetmetal carpeted panels, dual racing seats, sheetmetal nasty perf tank, bogarts..... fiberglass hood....

I have no idea how to take another 200 lbs out of the car unless I went to speedglass all the way around (which I might end up doing) and a fiberglass hatch.... that right there has GOT to be about 200 lbs.....

I can never really figure out how people get their cars so heavy. I've taken 307 lbs out of my 93 with cutting on some random things. I should be able to get it down to 2965 with AC, PS, all interior panels, and two leather seats before spending a lot of money and 2650-2700 eventually.

All of the information is on here you just have to find it. The weight reduction sticky is a really good start. Dlove, Jantzer98ss, RagenZ28, The Juggernaut, SUX2BU, etc... all have really good information on weight reduction.
