Can I run a transbrake in footbrake class

I'm assuming that you mean running a transbrake equipped car in a foot-brake only class, but not using the transbrake. It depends on the track. Some don't give a **** as long as you don't use it. Others won't let you run at all, even if you cut the wires to the solenoid, remove the button, etc. No clear answer. Best to call your local track or ask the tech inspectors/track official.

There are tricks for cheating, there are tricks for catching cheaters.
As mentioned, ask the track. Some require the button being removed.

Transbrake in Footbrake class
Sorry for the confusion, when I bought the car the transbrake was installed but not operational. I was wondering if track officials would not allow a transbrake on the car in footbrake class even if it was not operational.
Thanks,

Crawling under there & looking for solenoid is very rare. There are other things, that racers & track people look for.
I will not mention them, but buttons & wiring hanging out in the open will get you booted,
no matter how much you claim it's not operational. Winning with a bunch of .510 lights every round
might draw some attention also. I would suggest you seal up the wires with a nut & some heat shrink,
just in case someone does turn you in. Good luck.

As mentioned, some tracks are different than others. Some require no buttons on steering wheel for footbrake, some require unplugging wires from solenoid, some will watch you at the line and if you do grab the button you're DQ'd.
I have one in my car but I leave with both hands on the wheel (TB button is on the shifter cover) to eliminate any problems.
