Want to put a mild big block in a 97 camaro, hvac etc is gone, its a drag only car, but I need the tq. I don't want a small motor anymore

I used old Camaro hedders (Hooker Competition). They fit fairly well, especially for the money.

That 2455 part number sounds familiar.

I have seen a set of lemon's BIG *** primary ones, 2.5 inch I think with a 5 inch collector.

Had to notch the framerails to get them to fit, but that was for a 632 with 2 guns, way more then you need.

Depends on the heads you use with them. They fit fine with stock block and 990 heads with a BMR member except for the #8 tube had to be re-routed or the firewall modified. When I switched to a 502 block and RHS heads they wouldn't fit anymore and I had to heat them up and bend them in towards the pan to clear the cradle. Same issue with #8 still. If you want bolt on get Lemons, if you have a torch and can weld or at least tack the 2455's will work, the passenger side needs the most work.

Nice part about the lemon's is the collector is slip on, and all 8 primary's are seperate pieces and they can go in one primary at a time, makes the job alot easier.

minor massaging of the firewall is needed on the passenger side. very minor. a small hammer will get the job done and you wont be able to tell. it all depends on how meticulous you are. or if you have a very nice or show car and dont want to take a hammer to it, you can re-route the primary that hits the firewall.

i used the 2455 but we built the car around them... we moved the motor back and down to get them to fit exactically how we wanted... we notched the fire wall a litle since we moved the motor back...look here
