What wheel studs and valve stems to run 10's?
I'm getting the car in track mode with hopes of running 10's and I don't want to fail tech. I will be running convo pro wheels. Can I run stock studs w/open end lugs? What about valve stems? I remember hearing something about these as well.

Pittsburgh Raceway Park isn't going to be that picky. IHRA not NHRA. Open lugs, cage, DS Loop, Helmet, Fire jacket and you should be good to go. They never said anything about valve stems.

Knowing my luck they'll decide to boot me for something dumb like that. I'll just have to make a run or two in your car that nite hehe.

"The rule" doesn't dictate 1/2", but it does state that the wheel stud does have to protrude in to the hex threaded portion of the nut by the diameter of the stud. That means, on a 12mm stud, you must have 12mm protruding in to the hex portion. For a typical ST-style lug (used with Draglites etc), the thread has to come up 12mm past the washer. Stock studs probably will not get you there. ARP "F-body" studs might, might not. You may have to go to a 1/2" stud to get a full 3" out from the axle to get past the minimum length.
