I ran 4.10's on my setup. 3.73's is not enough gear for a 28" tire unless your pushing a fair amount of HP and cross the traps at a decent MPH. I ran 10.7's at 126 mph on my N/A stock CI setup and could have done better with 4.56 gears as I was not in my prefered RPM crossing the line. You will slow down in the 1/4 with a 28" tire if you change nothing else IMO. I love the stance as well, it takes some cutting and BFH mod to get them to fit though.
I'm actually going to be running the Billet Specialty wheels now in a narrowed rear and much lower stance than those pics. I will be running the 275/60-15R tire now as well, to compete in the 275 DR class.
If you are really going to do a new rear, I would call SJM and see what he can do for you. It would be preferrable to get a narrowed rear and a nice deeper dish wheel in there (looks so much better) and sounds like he has a plan to do some sort of package for you like that, just food for thought. You can always sell those rims you bought if thats the route your going to take.
