Default My Weight reduction list (LT1 Formula)

Hey guys, though I would post this.

I weighed everything with a postage scale to be as accurate as I could. Also, everything was weighed with the hardware that attached it to the car. I did list exhaust because I'm taking it off and adding duals. I expect to gain back 30-35 lbs

No, I'm not going to take the door bars out and I'm undecided on the airbags. I don't plan on putting a cage in the car and do want to be able to be comfortable driving it in town. I already feel bad about taking the crash stuff out of the nose of the car.

It would be nice to have a set of skinnys for the car and a k-member/control arms. between those too i bet I could get another 50-65 pounds off the nose.

Rip the insulation off the back of the carpet. Also all unneed heat shields.

Thats my next step. The heat shields are honestly feather light. I weighed one at less than a quarter of a pound. Still undecided about that.

I want to also take the EVAP canister out of the back. I still have power steering to take off also.

Or do Ozite, its the lightest and does qualify for carpet if required in a class race, and looks just like oem stock.

Yeah the factory carpet even with the insulation gone still weighs more then you think.
