Default What wiring harness/switch panel?

I'm going to delete my factory wiring harness and wanted to see what folks were using, I see painlees makes a bunch of stuff. I know I need fuel pump, water pump, ign., fans, etc. Also, how did you keep your power windows?

im going to be running a painless box with all the essentials but i actually switched over to manual windows to save a little weight and so i didnt have to worry about running wiring.

You could send your factory wiring to Speartech----------->
They can cut it down to just the basics and keep your power windows if you want.

I bought a driveshaft off Speartech in person a few years back, nice shop and nice people. Quality work.

Id do it myself but thats because I know how and it does not scare but but if you want it done for you call Speartech.

I am in the same boat as you right now. I real like the the smart wireing harness. I can't remember the company but it has a computer style cable that plugs into the brain and then wires run out from there. Simple, clean and I can easy remove the dash with the switch mounted in it. Oh and has lights on the brain that show if circut is good or blown. Great system.

Company is like Spagti(sp)wiring and there is another company to. I am sure someone smarter than me will post up the info.

I will keep power windows, locks, wipers, lights, and turn signals. Othere than that everything is trashed. and a Standalone Accel DFI.

I am in the same boat also. I stripped the whole car! This guy is in the midwest. He does AWSOME work, but he is not cheap. Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for. He does it on the side. He will fly to you to do the work. http://www.racewiring.com

I am going to go with the painless 12 circuit race fuse block. Use my own wiring. The only things i am going to run threw it are headlights, Turns, Brakes, Tailights, gauges, Dome, Power windows, and locks. Everything will go threw the stock switches. Just make sure you order it for GM Column. The fuse block will come labeled with A/C, Crusie, Radio, Ect.... So what you dont use just plug in your PW and PL. Also, make sure you run all you big amps' threw a relay board. Im just not sure what switch panel i want. Not sure if i still want the key start or push. My switch panel will run water, pump 2 (stand alone), fan, purge, nos arm, and log (BS3). If i stay with key start i will run the pump 1 thew the painless fuse block. Otherwise, tho's two things will aswell be on the switch panel.

Thanks for all the info guys!

I thought about going manual windows as well, but no way I could reach them both in a 25.2 cage car.

I won't be retaining light functions, wipers, stock guages, etc. I just need the essential race car stuff.
