TH350,TH400,or Powerglide?
My car won't go into second on spray,I have had an on going problem with 4 gear for 8 months.
I'm sick of it.It's time to step up.
I want to run the car on motor and spray.
Should I even bother with a TH350?or just go for the TH400.Car makes about 600/650 at the tires.
Throw some trans/converter opinions at me.

Reverse manual, trans brake and standard gear set in the tranny and figure out what you need out back. I'm only using a 3.73 and it works out really well. Depending on how hard you want to be you can get a full race prepped tranny with an aluminum drum hubbed and banded, blah blah blah. It never ends. That and a solid converter should make for a great setup.

Here's another vote for the TH400... I've had all three in my car, and the TH400 was hands-down the best overall performer. It's a Rossler built tranny, reverse pattern, full manual, no compression braking in 1st or 2nd, Rossler t-brake, JW Ultra-bell, etc...
Too bad my new combo will pretty much require a 'glide again. I hate to have to buy another new tranny.
