OMG...this has got to be the most highschoolish buncha crap I've read on LS1Tech Ever!!
Face it...ARE Moved stuff...
Face it...Madman Didn't but used adustable LCA's to place the tire directly in the center of the wheel well to keep from slicing up his tire as it grows down the track.
Face it: EVERY FAST CAR USES A NON STOCK TRANNY LOCATED TORQUE ARM..even my slow *** car uses the BMR Track Pac Torque arm cause I wanted to take the stress of the tranny
This whole argument has just gone to bitchin and moaning...

Obviously people can't read.
My own car has a tranny mounted torque arm mount.
It went low 9's all summer at 3400lbs! 1.3xx 60's
It won't break if you know what you are doing!

Obviously Sled if you look at the pics though of the ARE car it's not using a trans mounted TA either so don't bring it up.

it doesn't matter what happens or what we do, i've tried to get us in. It seems now there is no chance of anybody taking down the number 1 seed at the same place same day.

I see the argument for and against the ARE car.....but please this is stupid.....
We all want to see the fastest LS1's. Madman and ARE should run...I would like to see ALL major sponsors of the board there and running. Lets have a RUN WHAT YA BRUNG CLASS.

Let's be clear, we've already been there. Paul did say that ARE can run in the Thunder Shootout. Brian's rules for his race, that he's running in the middle of the shootout, ARE cannot run. Those are the rules. They can show up and run in one just not the other. From ARE's perspective they wanted to show up and run Madman, since the onset of the Big Dog Shootout. Brian's rules are simple and he wants the more stock suspension rules adhered to. His race, his 500 bucks (plus whatever else involved), his rules. Now after the rules have been posted ARE can't run. It's that simple.
The horse is dead. First it was whipped, drawn and quartered, pissed on, shot, burned, etc. Somebody bury the damn thing because it's starting to make this place stink.

BTW: I have never bought or used anything from ARE but I would like to see the car....it is well respected on the board and I think it is a shame to leave them out over silly shock location. As long as it isn't tubbed and has a torque arm let it in.

I don't disagree. The rules for the Thunder Shootout don't disagree. The point is, ARE can run the Thunder Shootout. They cannot run Madman's Big Dog shootout. If ARE want's to make the hike and run the Thunder program they still can. I think there is a little ribbing in all of this because of what happened in the past.
I'm surprised at the two different rule sets for these two races and I wish that the rules would be consistent from the onset next year. Out of all of the crap that has been flung around on this topic, that's the only sticky point I have with the whole thing. It was a very late call and should have been more upfront when the race was first mentioned. That's the homework that Thunder does really well, soliciting feedback prior to setting the rules. They are the role model to follow when it comes to establishing the rules at this point. Just my opinion.
Is the horse buried yet?

I'm locking this one too, since it has turned into another argument over suspension rules...
