Default How much clearance for MT 325/50/15's

I'm just getting around to get these things on the car with my new Bogarts. I've spent about an hour per side grinding
and pounding with a 15# BFH. I clear fine in the front and rear, but have only managed maybe 1mm of clearance on the inner fender well in the area of the rear springs.

Beat and grind some more, or should I be fine? These are their drag wheels with a slightly different offset since I'm running strange drag brakes.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have them on my car with the 15x10 billet specialties street lite wheels. I had to cut the bump stops off and the humps on the inner fender above the bump stops. There a pain to fit but they work and by the way my rims are on a 7.5 back space.

Same here (except draglites). The cut I made over the bump stops are about level with the very top of the tire and there is plenty of clearance. For the front inner wells, I had to make relief cuts and pound it in with a hammer, then spot weld in patch panels to fill the gaps. I couldn't get the inner panels to collapse in enough for clearance with just a hammer. I probably didn't have a big enough hammer though.

That looks way easier than what i did. I cut the stops off but didn't go that high.

Thanks for the pics

BTW- anyone else notice that these tires aren't realy 28". Mine with 25lbs in them are exactly 27 5/8"

I noticed. I had them on my car and swapped for ET Drag 28X10.5. The ET Drags were touching my rear bumper at the bottom of the wheel arch and the radials had a good 3/8" clearance.

TwoFast4Lv, I really want to thank you for posting the pics. I cut mine like you did yours and now there's plenty of clearance.

So you pulled the tire in a 1/2 inch with a 3 inch narrow and a 2.5 different offset.

I'm looking at going to a 15x12 rim, and am trying to figure out what offset to get and how much to narrow the rear end up.
