Tire Heating
I am wondering if I can benefit from using a more "street" tire if I would hook better. I bought the mickeys because they are the best.. but thats on the track. Im thinking they may be hurting me on the street. I dont do burnouts before I get on the highway.. that would get old and I dont want to ear my tires out in a month.
Has anyone had any first hand experience with using a few different tires on a cool night w/ 600+tq?
I am wondering if a Nitto 555r or possibly a KDW2 will be better for me because I never go to the track.
Thanks guys

There isnt a tire out there that will work for what your looking to do. To a degree the tire's grip will improve from being dead cold and putting a few miles on it.
The other thing you can do is suspension mods, and I cannot assume anything since I need no mods listed, even engine ones supporting your claimed power level.
The other tires listed are not any better, and you could consider going wider but again, at your claimed power level that isnt going to be the cureall.
Be easy on the throttle and no showing off and the car wont end up in a telephone pole or a guard rail, or some other guy who is just trying to take his family out to dinner.

My question again here is .. lol. What tires work best on the street without needing to be heated. I am under the impression a m/t is more geared towards the track and requires to much heat for the street. First hand feedback from use with other tires is what I am looking for......................... with people in the 600+ftlb range....

A 275 is too small for that HP/TQ range IMO... Get a 315.
I have ran 255/50/16 MT DR, a 275/50/15 Hossier DR and a 26x11.5x15 MT ET Street and all have worked well. The extra sidewalls help out a lot..
On the street I run a 315/35/17 Hoosier DR and it works well on the street.
