How to delete trans codes after th400?

Default How to delete trans codes after th400?

I swapped a th400 into my 00 Z28 and the car seems slower. I know the 1st gear ratio being different will make a difference in first gear, but it feels slower in 2nd and 3rd as well. Does the car cut power when there are trans codes or why does everyone turn them off other than the cel? Is the easiest way just to have the dealer flash it for a t56 or is there a way to do this through mailorder and have it modified for the headers as well? Headers were already there before the trans, it just felt slower after the swap.

Car would still run fine. there a few codes to delete out of it. what did u use for a converter

No the car will not run fine! It will run and drive but will be down on HP due to being on the "park" timing table. To give you an idea, my car is making 615 RWHP through the Th400 now, but made like 375 RWHP on the first pull due to the timing. W/O the proper tune its gonna be waaaay off. Go get a real tune, not a dealership flash (doubt they can do that anyway).

deff needs a tune no doubt i did a m6 swap in my car befor and ran the auto comp and it ran fine. spedo was off till i flashed it over to a m6

Thats different because you still had a VSS. He has a TH400, its probably not wired in at all.

you can pull vss off one of your front abs hubs if he wanted .

I have the speedo mod done to the trans so all the wheel sensors are still in tact and the speedo works as well.

TS6 ... what are the requirements for it to get out of the park table? By dealership flash I meant to have them flash the pcm to think the car was a stock 6 speed which would eliminate all the trans crap.

I doubt the dealership has the ability to flash the ecm like that. They would probably try to sell you a new ecm. You really need a custom tune to be safe.

I guess if the car is really really close to stock (which I doubt since you needed a TH400) an M6 flash could work, but I'm assuming you've got some healthy mods to require a TH400.

If your dealership is friendly to you, they will gladly flash an M6 OS on to your ECM, but your licensing may be affected depending on what software you are using. When I swapped to a TH400 from a 4L60E, I just set all the DTC in the program to No Error Reported. Our race car used the Primary Timing table for spark values, so long as the TPS was read to switch from idle spark to main spark (past 1% TPS value).
