Default six speed guys?

alright this is somethin that i was wondering for some time now. what do u six speed guys that lift the wheels high how do u bring it down soft? i know autos just pull 2nd and stay in it but pullin 2nd in a 6 speed would require a second without power to the wheels. so do you peddle it down while its in first stay in it and hope it doesnt hurt on the way down?

If your quick a shift is quite a bit less than a second.

im switching to a th400 due to the fact im tired of going through clutches ... it depends on the clutch setup how hard they grab if they have a 2 step setup are they coming out at the same rpm every time

It falls and you breaK something... I don't think there is a secret unless it would be to get an auto if your running that fast and worried about soft landing a wheelstand

i think most of the real serious cars want to go faster, and are tired of breaking stuff so they go auto.

I think a heavy built 6 spd, with a 2 step, and good clutch could do it. but they are few and far between and most people that keep the 6 spd tend to be more of a street car, and not a drag car and are usually not on the best tire cause there a street car.

yeah, like was said. most 6 speeds don't pull the wheels that much. That being said, I know Tosto and rodney used to yank them pretty high
mine doesn't do it enough to worry

Stick cars usually don't carry the wheels out that far because once you get off the clutch and it locks up it will drop the rpms enough to bring the front end back down. I remember a few years back when rodney was pulling the wheels high it would yank'em and then set them back down quick.

Mine usually only come up 3-4 inches, and stays up till I go for second... But why would you want to go crazy with a wheelstand? Usually two things happen, you break something, or it's wasted energy IMO.

Looks cool however...
