Lightweight carpet
I used ozite before and after some time working with it it looked good, but did not not look so good after i got in and out of the car a couple seasons.
how long and wide is the stock carpet?
The carpet had a mass of 9lb 7oz out of the box and the padding is easly removed. However, it only makes up a fraction of the total mass.
In a few days I will install it and and include pics of the process and the new oldschool cockpit without the center console.
I am very pleased with speed and how fast the carpet was shipped.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I installed the carpet without issues. The quility of the carpet is good and it is light. There were a few wrinkles and bumps, but they will go away in a few weeks once the weather gets warm. If a person has their rear seats in and a console, most issues will not be noticed. If you are a perfectionest (sp) then you may want to get a factory carpet. However, if you want to loose some weight without working out and cutting back on the McDonalds and Krispy Kreams, then this will help. I removed 31lb of carpet and put about 9lb back in. I also lost 2lb (conslole), 1lb 12oz e-brake handle, and whatever the rear leather seats with seat belt hardware cost in weight.
The rear seat area looks pretty good without having all the cuts and mounting hardware sticking out. I am going to use Ozite in the rear hatch area since it will not see action and I am also going to mount two carbon fiber NoS bottles in the rear seat area. Over all, I am happy.

9 feet is just above the acc peddle, down and across the flooor, up and down in the rear seat area and back up to the top of the rear seat area. The hatch will take an additional 21" if you just cover the top part. I hope this helps.
9lbs is pretty light and its nice it has the heel pad on their too.

Thats a huge weight difference since the full set I have with the rubber backing was over 40lbs out of the box. I guess I'll order the shorter version, cant beat losing 20lbs for 140.00..
