they have already had people ask about having 8 gallon fuel cells and filling them once and then refilling them after the cruise??? please! Me and my buddy that signed up will only be in the 10s as well, but it'll be fun to go if picked!

Sounds like a sweet deal, I bet there would be some guys that would like to do that out here in West Texas.. there is a guy here with a 67 Chevelle that had a 502 with a procharger on it that drove the thing to the track sometimes and on PUMP GAS and ran a best of 9.05.. I wish he wouldn't have pulled the motor so maybe some people could get him to run in this sort of thing (its getting a 632 ci motor now). There is also a guy with a 85 SVO turbocharged 4 cylinder mustang that drives it to the track EVERYTIME and runs 9.20's and drives home (not on pump gas though I don't think). All that at our typical great DA's of 4000+ feet.

well it did say "don't be slower than 11 seconds" but having a 6 banger would add a distinct touch, I guess the 2 week wait is on!

Wonder how many total entries Hot Rod got for this?

it would be nice if hot rod would tell us how many cars got to be selected for the chance of being considered.also,i know they would not even touch this with a 10 foot pole but here goes, tell us who made the consideration list.you would have them chewing nails untill the 30th.or after the top 50 have been chosen maybe put the unselected ones with pictures(small ones)maybe a two page follow up before or after the drags had been done.

that's a great idea, I need to start chewing my nails if I'm even in the running for the final 50 It'd be nice to know how many total entries were received. Just over a week until they announce the 50, but I'm not holding my breath!

If any LS1Tech members get selected please let us know so we can come and support you.

I personally could not change my car to fit the rules but hope that some of our guys qualified.

Looks like my area is going to be represented fairly well.Mike Thompson from Roscoe and Sean Powers from Rockford. Too bad no LS1 powered vehicles from here are in it.

I'm glad to see so many 4th Generation F-Bodies going.Four of them should be packing LS1s.

"Good luck" to anyone here that is participating!
