EFA's 4th gen Shootout results - over 130 cars total
For those that dont check out site's forum often here are the ET results from saturdays event. Ill post pics and a few videos later, but dail up slows me down getting this stuff up!
quick recap... the line at the gate around 9am was atleast a mile long!! We had 92 cars running the 6 quick 8 classes total(all 4th gens except for the 2-3 3rd gens in the outlaw class)
total count was roughly 110 cars racing and 130 or more total. Again all 4th gen except a few vettes and 3rd gens(maybe 6-10 total)
To make quick 8's in the H/C class you had to run under 11.5 or you werent in!
The PA class had some awesome 10sec cars!
anyway here is the quick 8 standings and the 1-2 place winners.. Roughly guys won 200bucks or so and trophy's. Hopefully we can get more sponsors and more prize money for next spring's event
Big thanks to the guys/gays that drove 8-10 hours for this event. East Side gets big props for bringing there whole shop with them just about. Cartek had some killer cars there also!
Big thanks to MIR for hosting this and having one awesome setup/track!
Me and Moose cant wait to start plannin on the next one
Guys, we had 92 cars try to qualify for quick 8's. This doesnt count brackets since I do not have the results handy for that. I know there had to be atleast 30-40 cars bracket racing! So give or take a few from 92 that tried quick 8's also this is gonna push us probably over 110 cars racing classes! Not TNT'ing!!!! 120cars racing maybe? Add about 10-20 more or likely just watching WOAHHHHHH
anyway here is the dirt for the quick 8's
I didnt break down the ladder because I would be here all day

Re: EFA's 4th gen Shootout results - over 130 cars total
i managed to find a set local. the car seemed to like it alot.
motor power was fair, but track prep wasnt there to drop some n/a et's down.
thanks a ton for all your help. my 12 bolt is making a ton of racket, so i might just give the car a break for a few months and work on the rear problems over the winter.
im thrilled with the performance of the car right now and know there is alot more left in it.

This thread again confirms that users have different definitions of Chev "generations." Ask 100 users and you will get various answers on the definition of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen. You would think we could at least agree on that issue? Should we call GM and ask them?

Re: EFA's 4th gen Shootout results - over 130 cars total
93 and up are 4th gens... unless ive been clueless for 5 years LOL
only 93+ cars run the quick 8's. One or two vettes TNT'ed with us in the AM which were invited. I believe 3 3rd gens ran the outlaw class since we opened that to 3rd gens also. If This makes it clearer then we had 120 93+ camaro and firebirds there(100racing).. 10 or so 3rd gens, vettes, and a few other invites. Heck, we have 700+ members with just 93+ cars so that would be one hellova time if everyone showed up at once LMAO
Ken, i didnt get to see the trailer that morning since they had unloaded already I think

Oh... by the way, Joe it's the first time i have seen inside your car... must say, done very nicely... super clean! It always impresses me when i see a fast N/A car AND one that is not all hacked up. Good work man.
