Do you have a roll bar or cage. See my 5 point with stock leather seats in a couple of my cars.

we could get you set up with the Stroud Cam-lock 5 point harness. These can be mounted in the stock locations, except for the two shoulder straps that need to be mounted on a roll cage. If you're interested, give me a call at the shop. 225-673-3533

I prefer the individual straps. Lat year, I believe a rule came down concerning the shoulder belts. Maybe someone more familiar with the NHRA rules could clarify though.

i believe (someone correct me if i'm wrong) that if your car is faster than a certain et, your shoulder straps need to come through the top of your seat so they won't be able to fall to the side. Now, i only remember hearing this in passing, and I might not have the exact wording correct. Maybe someone else has a better explanation?

The y-type belts are prohibited .belts are mandatory in any car required by the rules to have a roll bar or cage. 10.5 General regulations NHRA ,as for seats it says must support sholders and head. I use stroud and it is the best. One perk they will recertify them for cheaper than new ones. Not so high in the long run. they run out every 2 years.

I use the V-style as well, they seem to be the preferred type of mount. Camlock versus the latch is personal preference.

I just ordered a set of RCI platinum(4yr cert) 5way cam lock V type $139.99. They will recert them once for free and get another 4 yrs.

I have a simpson 5way V type latch in my camaro. It is pretty nice but I think I will like the cam lock better as far as latching it. The normal latch link is kinda tricky until you really get the hang of it. But cam locks always cost more also.

IN my camaro I have my stock seat cut for the belts to go through it and it has the crotch strap coming up through the bottom. It looks slick and feels very secure.

Not to argue but the 09 NHRA rule book says every 2 years from date of manufacure and i have never seen anyone say 4 years .

Find a good upholster in your area to make a rectangle hole in the middle of your seats. It should be about level with your shoulders. That's how we did a set of leather seats in one of the cars we built about 10 yrs ago.
